GRIDLOCK NO. ONE / ONTARIO LEGISLATIVE REPORT / KATHLEEN WYNNE’S WIN / FINALLY A RAY OF HOPE / A TINY SPECK OF LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL FOR OUR PROVINCE 12/02/13

  • GOODBYE LIBERAL INSIDERS   —   Kathleen Wynne’s victory has put the blocks to the Liberal Party machine. Devious Dalt’s friend’s, who have grown fat feeding off taxpayer’s wallets were confident that the leadership structure would keep them firmly ensconsed. 25% of the leadership delegates were ex officio, appointed by the Party [ the fix was in ]. What this ex officio nonsense did was give the Liberal  insiders the ability to eliminate any candidate who proved to be too much of an outsider and who posed a threat to THEIR control. This is the same system used by Tim Hudak’s Fascists [ remember I am a Progressive Conservative, not a Harper or Hudak Fascist ].  Those who surrounded McGuinty had never been elected to anything, not even a fence viewer. And yet collectively, with Dalt’s help they ruled the Province for PERSONAL GAIN. In due course they should be singled out and punished. Sandra Pupatello was the machine candidate. The Iron Lady said the Prorogation was inconsequencial and she would bring the MPPs back when she was damn good and ready. Of course she isn’t describing what a democracy is meant to be.  But then again what did Dalt and his spineless friend, David Onley, L. G. care about our  democracy???  Did you know that Pupatello would have become Ontario’s first Fuhrer? The Liberal machine knew that if an election was held tomorrow they would get wumped. Having Sandra delay the recall of the Legislature as long as she possibly could would have given Dalt and his Junta time to engineer some kind of scheme to retain power [ in other words short changing the electorate in some fashion ]. With David Onley in office, any assault on our society was and is okay by him. The matter of Prorogation was the major fly-in-the-ointment for Ontario. In the right wing $ media the closing of the Legislature hardly got a mention.  In fact there was one call to do away with the House altogether.  McGuinty didn’t level with Onley. Our poor L. G. was not told of Dalt’s resignation before Prorogation was obtained. Onley true to his character or lack there of,  let out not a bleep when he found he had been misled. Dalt announced Prorogation to a Liberal Party machine meeting of about 30 people. Even his own Liberal MPPs were left out of the loop. The rules of the House require Prorogation TO BE ANNOUNCED IN THE ASSEMBLY BY THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER AT WHICH TIME AN APPROX DATE FOR RECALL HAS TO BE GIVEN. Them’s the rules.  McGuinty ignored the Rules of the Assembly, David Onley again said nothing. Devious Dalt then publicly spilled the details of his private conversation with Onley and put his own spin on their exchange. That is a no, no. But you know our David Onley? As usual, he remained silent. Then King Dalt went to Onley a couple of days ago to OFFICIALLY RESIGN AS PREMIER. You thought the ex Preem had bailed 4 months ago didn’t you? Not. The $ media stated as much, they were paid with our money by Dalt to play a part in the flim flam. But no, McGuinty continued to reign as Premier [  illegitimately ] without having to deal with the pesky Legislature [ our elected members ]. Including his own Liberal sheep [ MPPs ].  Onley just smiled and bowed. Queen Elizabeth might as well have given Dalt a rubber stamp. While the $ media which had been bought off by McGuinty remained mum, the Prorogation issue turned into a fire storm on the net. In terms of the importance of the internet in to-day’s world, devious D. and the Liberal Party machine are totally ignorant. Since coming to power McGuinty has spent tens of millions [ of your money ]  with the $ media on buying nonsense ads [ saying things like breathing is important etc ]. These are the advertisements you see on TV and in the papers which are mostly white space, meaningless text and with the Ont. logo [  Trillium ]. Such ads even appear in small town newspapers. The nukies and the OPP do the same thing with OUR MONEY. Now if you own a media outlet you know that if you write or broadcast anything that is critical of McGuinty your name comes off the advertiser’s  list. The question is, are you as a hard pressed business owner going to risk the loss of tens of thousands of ad dollars by being critical of Dalt, the Prov. Liberals, the gas plants, Ornge, payoff to transNotcanada or telling the truth. Lying pays much better, so of course you are going to lie to your readers / viewers in return for a Government cheque drawn on the taxpayer’s account. Hitler controlled the press by force. McGuinty and his pals control the $ media with advertising paid for on the people’s nickel. If you read a newspaper / Mclean’s or watch TV on the important matters then you are being lied to [ CBC not included ].  In terms of McGuinty, he was absolutely spot on and made the right move. The $ media did just what he paid them to do, they ignored Prorogation and the public outcry. Those who depend on the $ media for their info must have concluded that other Ontarians had little interest in the matter, even though Dalt /Dave extinguished democracy in this Province. On the net however the protest raged. Finally David Onley became aware that the citizens were out for his blood and he realized that those with pitchforks were assembling.  Having bought up or neutered the press, McGuinty had not purchased the hiding place for himself or his sidekick Onley, as he had planned.  Prorogation was a big deal with the voters on the internet but no deal at all in the $ media. It shows the existing divide between the old [ 1970s ] and the new [ 2013 ]. Politicians on the right, big business, pipe lines, the US oil cartel, the nukies and the $ media are oblivious to the net. They still live in the past when the $ media was the only info game in town.  In any event, chickenshit Onley was afraid to face the internet protesters. David did however grant a creampuff interview with Martin Regg Cohn of the Toronto Star.  Cohn joined the Star before the last Provincial election to polish McGuinty’s apples for him. Martin was the perfect pick to spin the Onley story and help him avoid the slings and arrows being directed at him by the majority of Ontarians on the net. Being interviewed by and hiding behind the Star was pure genius. This attack on Prorogation, that was taking place on the net was strangely answered in a Newspaper, the Star. Although  Honderich / Star along with the other papers had remained silent on Prorogation. But the Tor. Star is being paid extra by the Liberals to whitewash Onley. Because so goes Onley, so goes devious Dalt.  Democracy only counts with the $ media when they can make money out of it. Quite something. This, the press being paid using our tax dollars by McGuinty to NOT DO OR SAY ANYTHING.  Who pray tell stands on guard for we???  It shows that Dalt and the Liberal Machine don’t understand the internet and would prefer to see us bellyachers just go away. Now we come to Wynne’s win which was NOT supposed to happen. Pupatello was the choice of the Machine, the old boy’s club had everything fixed with the ex officio officials or so they thought. Cock sure of  THEIR CHOICE, SANDRA WAS NOT THE DULY ELECTED DELEGATE’S CHOICE.  But a lot of the ex officio were themselves plugged into the citizen uprising on the outside and on the net. These smart Liberals said to themselves,  holy shit, are we ever in big trouble. McGuinty and his Junta just kept on adaydreaming. The convention, though supposedly rigged by the machine gave Kathleen the victory. Since that time Pupatello has shown her true colours, by being loud as usual, mouthing it up and being very divisive.  Wynne and the Liberals are now sitting under 30% support.  If Pupatello had triumphed the Libs would be at 10%  but with no House or an election in sight. I think the fear of the loss of democracy / Prorogation boosted Kathleen over the top. It was she who promised to recall the Legislature quickly. Her delegates responded in a desperate move to stave off  their complete annihilation. Wynne saved Onley from a fate worse than death also. I have a suggestion for her. Kath, RESPOND TO THE NEEDS of Ontarians NOW [] NOW [] NOW or become but a footnote in the history books. Right now the three Parties are about equal in Ontario [ 33% ] in the polls. An election at huge cost would leave things just about where they are now. So the better bet is to form a unity Government wherein all of the major problems we face can be dealt without political posturing. Give politics a reast in the House. The people’s concerns should be paramount.

WHEN THE WHEELS CAME OFF CANADA’S DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY   —    In this post I have used the words Liberal Party machine / PC Party machine   —   I see no evidence that the NDP [ Fed / Ont./] has a Party machine but I have no inside info on the NDP to make a definitive statement.  However, in terms of the Ont. Libs / PCs I am acutely  aware that our democracy has been severely weakened. Harper IS the Fascist Party’s machine. The Federal Liberal Party has two machines. The Chretien Team and the Martin Team which have been involved in a civil war for 6 years. This contest has wasted money and sap the strength of the Fed. Libs. Their current leadership contest is a dreadful mistake. To overcome the battle of insiders the Liberals are now allowing just anyone to vote. This is a slap in the face to an already weakened riding association network. Why spend 4 years working for a party only to have someone walk in off the street and be given the same rank?

At its’ core a machine needs to have all MPs /MPPs neutered. A riding association board organizes a nomination process wherein a person can be asked to run for office or offer themself. All the candidate are interviewed by  nomination committee.  There is a cutoff off  time of potential voters for the candidate selection at say 6 month. This is to stop the sale of party memberships at the last minute so the voting is stacked. It is possible for a candidate to spend thousands of dollars for memberships at the last minute for $ 10 a pop where only a name is required. Once the candidate is picked the next hurdle is the election. Well not quite. With the Libs Federally and in Ontario, Harper’s Fascists and the PCs in Ont. the leader has to okay a candidate’s nomination papers. Now by this time a candidate has spend a considerable amount of money and dedicated countless hours to gain the nomination. Not to mention the work on the part of the riding association members. During this process the party headquarters has plenty of time to scrutinize the prospective candidates and report back to the ridng associations. Individuals might have a record, be in the Country illegally and so on. Under the present rules the party leaders can nix a candidate at the last minute and replace him or her with one of their friends. That is where our democracy goes off the rails. The people in a riding can pick a candidate through a long, drawn out process and on the whim of a leader it all goes poof.  Having a candidate bowing to this affront to our democracy means he / she is under the spell of the leader and the voters are relegated to being squat. If all of the Progressive Conservatives in Harper’s Party had not sworn allegiance to Lyin Steve there would have been a lot fewer trained seals on the Government benches. Harper would not have been able to steal the 2011 election. And he would not have been able to dismantle Canada. In Ontario the Tories would have responded to the electrical system crisis. And the Liberals would have stopped handing the Nukies the ratepayer’s hard earned  cash. MPs / MPPs would have been able to speak their minds [ something they pledge to do ] without fear of the leader and his machine. I have read about Jenni Byrne, a young nobody who works closely with Steve calling MPs into her office and dressing them down. Now a MP is voted into office and is sovereign. Jenni came out of the Young Fascists with a chip on her shoulder and no understanding of our democratic system. Apparently Byrne kept a Hakapik on her desk to show the MPs who was boss. In an earlier post I recommended that Jennie take over the gas chambers at Herr Harper’s new concentration camps. I hear while she is waiting to fill that job Byrne is running the Robo Calls show in Saskatchewan. In 2007 I decided to seek the PC nomination for Prince Edward – Hastings. I became involved in the process. At some point one of the Riding officials told me that my nomination would have to be confirmed by John Tory, a twit if there ever was one. There are people who think they are important so they therefore think what they do is important. There are people who do important things and as a result they are truly important. Tory THINKS HE IS IMPORTANT. I walked away from the nomination process, it is non democratic and this leadership scrutiny has weakened democracy in Ontario and Canada. So I bailed on Mike Harris in 2000 and bailed on John Tory in 2007. I had worked for the PCs since 1960 [ Frost / Robarts / Davis ]. Now I wouldn’t  touch Tim Hudak with a twelve foot poll. Ontario will have another election in 2 1/2 years I hope. Canada will have an election in 2015  if  Herr Harper is not successful in taking away our voting rights like the Republicans are trying to do in the USA. The far right in the next Federal election will attempt to steal it once again. In the next Ontario election Hudak and his pals will try and steal it too. After all Richard Ciano, Pres. Ont. PCs is the partner of Nick Kovalis who was involved with Herr Harper and Mike Meier [ RackNine ] in the Robo Call scandal of 2011. You remember the Robo Calls caper, now conveniently forgotten by the $ media and Elections Canada. Just remember if we do have elections in Ontario and Federal be wary of cheating. And buttonhole you candidate, simply ask him or her, did your leader have to sign your nomination papers for them to be valid. If the answer is yes, run like hell. If elected that MP will be a trained seal, the MPP will be a sheep. And your concerns will be forgotten, just like they are now. We have been warned over the years to be eternally vigilant. Our democratic system can be snatched away in an instant. Democracy in Germany vanished in a year once Hitler came to power. For Lyin Steve it is taking a bit longer.

I have great interest in seeing David Onley sacked. As McGuinty, the thief who stole Ontario’s democracy and turned the Legislature into a Liberal toy did his dirty business Onley became a deaf mute unable to move.  Lieutenant Governors are supposed to be watch dogs and protect our hard won freedoms. Rather Onley is a lap dog who’s only interest is getting a pat on the head for good behaviour. I want Onley’s head on a platter. I want to see Onley disgraced and dismissed.

**********************

I want to see McGuinty in jail for illegal activities and self enrichment. I also want Chris Bentley behind bars. Way back the nukies gave devious Dalt a free house worth more than a million bucks. He should give the house back. I wrote many letters to the Star and other media outlets about this freeby place before I ever started this blog. I copied those letters to McGuinty himself  but I was ignored by Dalt as well as the press. In the old days the papers controlled the flow of information. They didn’t have to respond. Well not anymore.  I wanted the Standing Committee on Finance in the Assembly to restart the hearings into the gas plant closures. One of the players in this theft of public funds is Russ Girling’s TransCanada pipe lines. Of interest is the fact that Tim Hudak’s wife works for Girling. TransCanada  is just covering all its’  bases. Russ is obviously quite confident that either the Libs or PCs will dominate Ontario so both Parties get to share the bribes. The nukies gave Dalt a free house. Girling gave Hudak’s wife money for, what?  Was it really a payoff to Hudak himself?  How much work did Mrs. Hudak actually do for Girling payments?  I’ll bet she hasn’t raise a finger? Was payment made to Tim’s wee wifey just to get around the rules? Isn’t it interesting, that on Ottawa and Queen’s Park there are so many Fascists on the take, the laws of the land mean nothing to them.

***********************

I WANT ALL OF McGUINTY’S DEALS WITH HIS FRIENDS INVESTIGATED, nukies and Murray Elston,  E Health, Ornge, Metrolinx, OPG, Hydro One, gas plant infrastructure and Bruce Power. I want every contract reviewed and I have even offered to help in this regard. I was in successful businesses for 50 years and a Pickering councilor to boot. I can smell a rat a mile away. I said in an earlier post I am all for a witch hunt. The more witches we snare the better. The meaner the better. Let’s act mean like Iceland. They are jailing politicians and bankers there. I am not asking anyone to do anything I am not prepared to do myself. I will pitch in to find the skeletons in the closet. I want the ill gotten gains paid back with interest. If necessary I want to see expropriations of businesses, assets and even McGuinty’s house. This must be an option. I also see jail as a consideration for those who helped themselves to our money. Four of my targets  are Dr. Mazza,  Rob Prichard, Russ Girling and Laura Formusa. Theft from the public treasury by the friends of the Government must be stopped cold. Putting those above in the slammer would certainly get the attention of the other movers and takers. The elites would be forced to realize that we don’t take kindly to seeing them parade criminals like Conrad Black, Garth Drabinsky and Brian Mulroney around at galas and stuffing them up our noses. The elites MUST LEARN that the laws of the land apply to everyone, even their own. Although the rich and famous never seem to learn. Go on the net and read all about the French Revolution. The King / Queen and nobles lost their heads over the abuse of the peasantry. That’ll larn em.

***********************

As much as it would do my heart good to recover OUR money, prosecute wrong doers, dismiss people like David Onley such efforts will not give Ontario the boost it need at this very moment. Wynne must form a UNITY GOVERNMENT like Winston Churchill did in 1940  wherein all the parties come together and take bold actions. Tim Hudak and Andrea Horwath would be Deputy Premiers and the Cabinet would be drawn from the Libs /PCs / NDP  in a ratio related to present seat count. We have almost 3 years in which to bring about change before another election is due.  I am, as you know a dissatisfied PC armed with working experience [ from 1960 / 2000 ] with Leslie Frost, John Robarts and Bill Davis. I am aware of the secret sauce that kept out PCs in power for 42 years. I worked for Mike Harris until he announced the sale of Ontario Hydro. At the time, I knew of  Tim Hudak who has never had a real job in his life. By 2000 I had had quite enough of the hard right wing of our Party. They are perpetual losers and now [ 2013 ] are 6.5 million in debt. so much for good fiscal managers. The Fascists took hold of the PCs in Frank Miller’s day and promptly lost power. Daaaaaaaaaa. We had a chance to revive the PCs under Mike Harris but he was under control of Bay St. and the Fascists too.  As were John Tory and  Tim Hudak is now. Mike engineered the defeat of the PCs and the Party has been on the outside of the Assembly and looking in ever since then. Do we as interested citizen work hard within a party stucture to consistently see defeat snatched from the jaws of victory???  The hard right / Fascists never learn, look at the USA. Quite some accomplishment. John Tory went nowhere and Hudak himself dwells in the land of nowhere too. In terms of a UNITY Government I can’t really see Hudak agreeing to be a Deputy Premier. Tim is a purpetual loser and the Republicans / right have him on a very tight leash. But the right wing ideology is easy to learn. About 45 words to repeat over and over [ first heard uttered by Calvin Coolidge in the 1920s ]. I am positive Hudak’s keepers won’t let him be Deputy Preem. The right wing vote is really only about 15% forever in Can. and you can add to that some progressives who get fooled.  However I can see the team of Kathleen and Andrea drafting individual PC MPPs to be part of a Unity Government and even having some of  them serve in Cabinet. PC  MPPs would have to break with the Tory Party machine to serve their constituents. My God what am I saying, PC  / MPPs serving the voters?  People, am I going mad???  As stated, Ontario DOESN’T NEED AN ELECTION, it would be  PURE FOLLY AT GREAT EXPENSE.  What we need is for the MPPs [ any stripe ] to take their work seriously and begin exercising their sovereignty without reference to the Lib. /  PC machines [ the Lib machine is now apparently gone ].  A MPP is not required to kneel to anyone, not a McGuinty nor a Hudak.  Collectively 107 MPPs govern Ontario and hold that power for more than 2.5 years. let us see them pick up the ball and run with it.  If 55 MPPs join together [ any stripe ], they are supreme. If all of the Liberal MPPs, all of the NDP  MPPs and the independant PC  MPPs join together it would be a Unity Government [ no official opposition would mean no reason to question unanimous postions ]. This would not be a coalition. [ where two parties join forces against the remaining party ].   WE CAN SOLVE ONTARIO’S PROBLEMS. DO YOU GET WHAT I AM SAYING???  This would mean almost 3 years without partisan politicing, just hard /dedicated work. All involved in this endeavour could tell their grandchildren that they were there when the light appeared at the end of the tunnel. Wynne has to realize that IF SHE DOESN’T FORM A UNITY GOVERNMENT INVOLVING ALL THREE PARTIES she will be toast. However, if an election is called I would suggest to Ontarians that they vote for Andrea Horwath / the NDP and give them A MAJORITY. My advice to Horwath continues to be, OFFER TO FIX THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Cut KW rates by half her first day in Office.  Then Andrea can enlist what remains of Libs / PCs after such a vote to be part of said Unity Government. Each and every MPP who becomes involved in this Ontario turn around will have his or her status elevated. I would even strike a medal to be given to all of them in recognition of selfless service to the Province to put the Ontario on the road to prosperity.  Watching over such a Legislature I would look to having a new Lieutenant Governor. One who understands his / her role in protecting our rights. Rather than trying to be nice in order to get a pat on the head.

*********************************************************************************************************

Following are the issues that can make a difference in this Province if addressed in a timely fashion. Time is not on our side. We do not want to slide into the black hole like California has done.  Nor do I want Toronto to mimic Detroit, shut up shop for lack of cash, let the police go, close the fire stations and turn off the street lights.

********************************************************************************************************

While I do want my pound of flesh, the importance of getting Ontario back on the tracks is paramount. The David Onley matter will be solved in short order. His term ends in 2013. I would prefer to see him resign once the Unity Government is formed. I’d like to hang Onley high but he has to look at himself in the mirror each day and face alone his cowardice.  When called to do his duty and defend Ontarians David hightailed it and went into hiding. When democracy had to be defended Onley was AWOL.  Let’s not waste any more time on him. However, this time round we want someone more like Queen Elizabeth 11, tough but fair.

******************************

In terms of the gas plant cancellations and jailing McGuinty and Bentley I would suggest a step sideways. Andrea Horwath has suggested some kind of 3rd party commission to look into matter and take it off the Legislative table at this time. There are other more serious issues that have to be addressed immediatley. Wynne has already made her first mistake. By not removing the gas plant cancellations from the House for now Kathleen condems the Assembly to a constant negative barrage from Hudak and his keepers. They want an election which they can’t win. When does the hard right DO ANYTHING RIGHT? An election will cost at least $ 300 million and the $ media would love it. Let’s cut Hudak and the media off at the knees. Wynne says an inquiry will cost millions, bullshit. I was a Pickering Councillor, we ran a corporation which encompassed 28,000 people.  But we didn’t have Metro Toronto’s budget. Our Council used a lot of imagination to save  bucks. Here’s the fix. Appoint 12, just plain citizens to produce a report on the gas plants without laying blame. Pick 3 MPPs to be the revolving Chairperson [ Lib. / PC / NDP ]. Give them 6 chartered accountants and 3 lawyers as assistants. I am sure the accountant’s association and the the law Society of Upper Canada would supply same pro bono. I would enlist secretaries and assistants from OPA and the Energy Ministry etc to do the paper work. I can see all of the 50,000 gas plant  documents being parcelled out to the 12 man / woman jury for review. The jury members would have access to the support staff for clarification. This work could be done at home and at intervals there could be a meeting of the Whole. When the said report is complete it would be presented to the Standing Finance Committee of the House. In due course a review of the report would take place IN PUBLIC with the MPPs and the jury in attendence.  Ontarians would be able to rely on the report seeing as it was complied by their own fellow citizens. If criminal activities were suspected then it would be a matter for the OPP. I would clear out the top management of TVO. Those who are responsible for turning our TVO station into a McGuinty propaganda bulletin board. Coverage of the report and review would be broadcast on TV and on the net. From time to time a summary would be produced and posted on the net. The $ media would be barred officially from these proceedings and be in the same postion as the average citizen. What I am wanting is to remove media spin and filtration from the process. In the end the MPPs on the Standing Committee would submit their finding to the House and the Unity Government would then deal with the matter.  This would take time and remove the issue from the radar screen for a while. It would cost peanuts, be trustworthy and allow us to deal with the  fiscal cliff that awaits. In other words, the important issues first.

NOTE   —   Why do we have gas plants? Well I will tell you. Nuclear power has always been an iffy thing. They nukies have been doing experiments in Ontario since the beginning in 1960. Each CANDU [ proper name CAN’tDU ] is a one off. Mistake piled upon mistake as long as the nukies had our money to spend. The nukies used funds from the taxpayers of Canada, the taxpayers of Ontario, the ratepayers of Ontario and they sold off of the assets of the Old Ontario Hydro plus emptied the Utility’s bank account. This whole nuclear enterprise could not have been created without some kind of backup. Of course our 27,000 MWs of hydro electricity [ installed / potential ] could have played that roll but the nukies were always afraid of water. If the truth came out that a water KW was half a cent per and nuclear was 8.5 cents per water would have won out. So the nukies with the help of the Ontario Government and the $ media buried hydro electricity as an option. This censorship has probably cost Ontarians $ 50 billion or more. So the nukies turned to coal. A number of coal plants were built and from time to time they covered for the shuttered nuclear plants. Then McGuinty got the idea he could dress himself up as the Jolly Green Preem and score political points by closing the coal plants. The nukies were mortified. If one of their nukes failed their names would be mud. The Enbridge and TransNotCanada came up with a scheme. Cheap fracked natural gas was coming on stream which the pipers could sell to Ontario at Alberta prices. And to sweeten the pot the pipers would contribute to the Liberal Party’s bank account the way the nukies had been doing for years. The only problem was what excuse could be used to install of these natural gas plants?  Laura Formusa of Hydro One came up with the answer. Areas of high growth were going to run short of electricity and putting more hi tension lines in was suggested. Laura , the million dollar CEO of Hydro One, knew full well that the affected residents would scream, which they did. McGuinty called them NIMBYS. Of course the needed electricity could have been brought into the City by underground cables. Ontarians were never told that. So a number of natural gas plants were planned in the areas where KW shortages were forecast. Good for the pipe lines, even more cheap, fracked gas. I don’t imagine selling cheap Michigan / Pennsylvania fracked natural gas at Alberta prices was the only scam. I think the taxpayers safe was raided by McGuinty, Enbridge and TransNot Canada and an agreement was made to siphon off more tax dollars in the future. Hudak got paid off too, to hedge the bet. The gas plants were not needed so they were put where supply was very handy. Underground cables would have done the job. The whole gas plant idea has to be looked at from its’ inception. When I get finished with Toronto’s Gridlock I would love to unearth the real gas plant scandal, the starting, not so much the closing.

**********************************************************************************************************

In terms of all of the contracts signed by McGuinty and friends and Harris and friends I want a complete review. This review could be done along the lines of the above proposal, over a period of time. I won’t go into all the details. I have written before that after being in business for 50 years contracts are a quick study for me. It is not too difficult to pick out the smelly ones. I would see companies / individuals repay overpayments with interest. In some cases I can see expropriation of assets where cheating has taken place. And in addition I think jail might be the answer. Herr Harper / devious Dalt were /are  running police states on behalf of the insiders and the privileged. I would see us running a police state backed by our democratic system, by the will of the people for the people. If  Harris and McGuinty have had their people shread documents as in the case of the gas plant cancellations I would just follow the cheques. If Russ Girling of  Tran / Can is getting cheques I’d demand that he produce a copy of the contracts before we pay another dime. That is if McGuinty has destroyed the originals. I have worked out how this contract review should proceed and in the beginning it would be off the screen and out of the political arena. No party, Government people or consutltants would be involved. Again I would see accountants and lawyers supplied pro bono. Surely these segments of society would rather live in a prosperous / lawful Ontario than a Province that is bankrupt and run by crooks??? Everyone must put their shoulder to the wheel. While this review process is ongoing I would declare a year long grace period for repayment of overpayments. Anyone who has taken advantage of Ontario like [ Russ Girling ]could come forward, repay the overpayments without interest. But would be on the understanding that contacts within the Government [ staff or politicians ] who were involved in illegal activities would have to  be named. Such contrite businesses would retain prefered status and be able to continue doing business with Queen’s Park. I was a businessman and I am a free enterpriser. In some areas the activity should be owned by the citizens. In other sectors private / public partnerships are best. In most cases private companies are best suited for the job. MPPs must set the rules not party insiders. It is possible to meet the needs of the voters and have the businesses so engaged be profitable. Such businesses, have to be honest, legit and well run. Most big ones are not. The managements of same would have to be competent and civic minded. Looking past personal greed and at the bigger picture can actually mean higher profits for enterprises. Crooks in business sometimes don’t realize being honest can have bigger returns. Only those who are grossly incompetent like Conrad Black / Garth Drabinsky have to steal. If a government permits private firms to steal by virture of lax rules [ like Dr. Mazza ], that is exactly what they will do. Separating the taxpayer’s and their cash becomes the central focus as it did with one very crooked D. McGuinty and the Liberals who encouraged Mazza. We will find out how much Dalt and the Party got under the table from Ornge. It will take time and of course the interest clock keeps on ticking. I want those who have been raiding the public treasury to be publicly humiliated and if warranted jailed. If McGuinty is found to have taken public money / bribes I want all of his assets seized. Let he and his family visit the food bank.

********************************************************************************************************

What I am saying is that there is some tidying up to do of past sins but addressing them will not revive the Ontario economy, create jobs and lighten the financial load of the 13.5 million people in this Province. It is obscene that such a blessed place has been run into the ground by greedy politicians and their hangers-on. Both the Libs [ no longer ] and the PCs [ still ] are under the control of Party machines that disconnected from the people more than 15 years ago. We, since that time have been electing sheep [ MPPs ] under the two major Party banners. These machines have gone on their own merry way without regard for our interests. In the meantime we go through elections which produced no benficial effects other that to Harris / friends and McGuinty / friends. It will be interesting to find out how much of our money devious Dalt shovelled out the back door in the 4 months he was the again / off again Preem [ during Prorogation ] . This behind the MPPs backs? So let’s boo David Onley and leave him to his fate. Having to live out his life as someone, who when called upon to respond to a public crisis hightailed it lickety split.

********************************************************************************************************

As sort of warm up to tackling the toughies I want to touch on Steve Paikin and his Liberal Agenda programs following Wynne’s win. Steve did his usual cream puff interview with Kathleen and carefully avoided the questions Ontarians are asking [ I will outline the serious matters below that Steve avoided ]. This was old fashion media [ 1970s ]. Info from the top down. Never going for the throat and upsetting governments or the advertisers. Allowing people to make vague comments only masks the fact that the public has zilch imput. One Agenda featured representatives of 4 political parties [ Libs / PCs / NDP  / Grns ]  plus the ever Liberal friendly Martin Regg Cohn. No interrogators from other papers / TV / net. There was Tim Murphy, a former Liberal MPP who is a rabid Dalt / Party supporter. Howard Hampton, former NDP Leader, a Tim Hudak yes man who so impressed me that I have forgotten his name already. And a young woman from the Greens who was out of the loop. Of course Martin Cohn from the Toronto Star was there to put the necessary Liberal spin on any and all comments. And he did. It was like the old NHL  Hot Stove League, all about the game of politics and how each party has fared and what changes are necesary. A whole hour went by and Ontarians never made it to the table.  In a sense it was all about what  will required to fool the voter. Tim Murphy and Martin Cohn were on the blue line for the Liberals.  I don’t think McGuinty was even mentioned. Daaaaaaaaaaaa. Howard Hampton did try to talk issues in an oblique way, not wanting to crowd his NDP Party. The woman representing the Grns never got into the game. Tim Hudak’s flake was so yesterday. One thing you can bank on is that the hard right never admits to making a mistake. There is an old saying that if you keep on doing the same thing over and over the result will always be the same, complete failure. This PC shill was identified on the screen as a Mike Harris advisor. That’s why I remembered all this old stuff he was pushing. I too worked for Harris and abandon his Fascists when they threatened to sell Ont. Hydro. Hudak is a little like the wolf hiding in grandma’s bed dressed in her nightgown awaiting the advantage. Looking kind but just waiting to bite. I took it from the PC flake that Hudak is mired in the 1990s. What happened then, Tim plans to make happen again.  Hudak speaks with a forked tongue. The next night the second Paikin Agenda had a group of teachers who were responding to the heavy handed treatment by ex Preem McGuinty. Devious Dalt was so frightened about the prospect of going to jail with Chris Bentley that he quit the Premiership in slow motion. Now you see him, now you don’t. His media friends played along in return for money letting Ontarians believe he was gone but he wasn’t really. In pure panic McGuinty illegally Prorogued the Legislature. The papers of course defended his actions. Then like a guy coming out of his tree McGuinty picked a fight with the teachers to divert attention for his other mistakes. He even leaked that he might run for the Fed. Liberal leadership, just another diversionary ploy which the $ media fell for.  Paikin had an hour long conversation with the embattled teachers.  Steve’s line was McGuinty has framed this devious deal thusly and just how WERE THE TEACHERS GOING TO DEAL WITH IT. If I had been one of the teachers my response to Paikin would have been,  McGuinty can stick this agenda up his keester. We’re NOT PLAYING BY HIS /LIBERAL JUNTA RULES.  Steve kept saying that the Province was out of money. That is a lie and Steve knows it. Ontario has billions of dollars in unused hydro electrity both installed and potential. Enough KWs to power the Province with the nuclear  / coal plants gone. Dalt and his nukie friends would never let us have access to all of our water power. Captializing on water would have killed nuclear in Ont. in a moment.  The price of power would have been cut in half and we could never have that could we? Half priced KWs would have cost McGuinty’s friends too much money.  Paikin saw the teachers giving in as the only option. No they don’t have to give in. I have communicated with Steve  many times as to the nukies destroying this Provinces economy. Poor Paikin, he never responded, never understood.  The teachers did not create the $ billions shortfall, McGuinty and his nukie friends did that. Nuclear power is the most expensive / dangerous way to boil water to make steam ever conceived by man. Dalt and the Liberals were bribed by the nukies early in his first term with the  ratepayer’s money. I wrote to Steve / TVO  more than 6 years ago when there was still time and told Paikin that  for McGuinty all roads led to nuclear. Being a techie, I could see that every time Dalt made a move as regard to our electrical system he gave preferential treatment to the nukies. I have often wondered how much of our money was given to the nuclear industry by the Liberals? And how much came back to Dalt’s office in brown envelopes on the Q T?  Back then Paikin was inviting viewers to submit new ideas and subject matter for programs, as he still does to-day. But it was /is pure bullshit. The only things that made / makes it onto TVO were / are friends of McGuinty and his Liberal machine. Around 2000 I was urging Mike Harris not to sell Ontario Hydro but urging him to promise to fix it. I concluded our second PC mandate showed weakness and the sharp elbows of Mike and some of his MPPs like John Baird did not help. All the things that Hudak is now proposing sank us back then [ teachers / welfare / unions / pay cuts etc ]. I decided that unless we pulled off something big like fixing Hydro we were toast. Harris’ PCs had cut ties with the grassroots including me and they were flying blind. Hudak to-day is flying blind, he’s not plugged in to the people. Of course Mike ran away when it became clear he was going to be defeated, just like Brian Mulroney. Harris left Ernie Eves hanging out there by his thumbs. And the PCs have been OUT OF POWER EVER SINCE. You would think that the hard right would eventually get the message. Hello Hudak.  Ontarians are mostly in the middle politically. Republican / right hand-me-down ideas are unacceptable in Ontario. So as far as I am concerned Hudak and his American handlers can stay out in the wilderness forever. After my exit from the PCs I began to study this Province’s electrical system and started to trouble-shoot with a view to coming up with a fix. More than 3 years later McGuinty / Liberals were elected. My PCs were reduced to 25 seats as I had predicited. About 4 months later [ 2004 ] I wrote to devious Dalt offering my services. My KW research was based mostly on the library and the inter library loan system. Initially I got material from the Toronto Star but as I became more knowledgeable about our KW system and nuclear it became apparent that the Star was printing false and misleading information and lies about the nukes. And Honderich still is.  Being of a technical nature I know that the nuclear story doesn’t lend itself to spin. But spin it the Star did as did the Ont. Energy Ministry. I had warned Harris that if he didn’t fix the electrical system the PCs would be finished. That came true. I warned McGuinty of the same problem. Let the electrical system remain on its’ present destructive course and you will suffer the same fate as Harris. Dalt didn’t fix the system and he has now pulled a Mike Harris and run away. And the Liberals are going to follow him if  Wynne continues to follow McGuinty’s lead. I have baited the Preem ever since. I sent letter after letter about the problems with the KW system and sometimes including technical material to prove what was being made public was lies. I almost knew Dalt, Dwight Duncan and the $ media would ignore me. and they did. I saw guests on Paikin’s Agenda who lied about nuclear. Steve was always  encouraging viewers to suggest  program material. I tried a number of times to get the real nuclear story on TVO. I came to the conclusion that McGuinty was pulling the strings of  TVO and was controlling the output. I baited Paikin too, sending letters and technical back up to prove his guests were lying, material which I knew he would never use. We had a chance to  arrest the free fall of Ontario’s electrical system back  in 2004. But McGuinty wouldn’t listen. 6 years ago when I communicated with Steve Paikin about programs on nuclear, I was prepared to supply all of the material. Saving our electrical system was then still a possiblity. But Steve was more interested in his Government pay cheque. I keep saying to Ontarians that there is no money in telling the truth. The money’s in telling lies or printing them or broadcasting them. So McGuinty and his nukie friends have destroyed Ontario’s economy and Steve Paikin helped in the doing.  Instead of sitting across from the teachers telling them they have to tighten their belts Steve should have said. I helped devious Dalt and his nukie friends turn this Ontario of our’s into a have-not-province and you dear teachers are blameless. There is money but Dalt has given it all to his friends like Mazza, Girling and Prichard. Unless this Province is fixed fast there will be no TVO. California was ruined by the Republicans and McGuinty has acted just the same way. That State is now bankrupt and ungovernable. Teachers, police and fire fighters are being laid off. Roving gangs are dragging people out of their cars and robbing them. These mobs are setting fires. Right wing ideology doesn’t work. This nonsense could roll our society back to the stone age. We have bad politicians like McGuinty and always will have. But it’s people like Steve Paikin, Martin Reg Cohn and CEO Lisa de Wilde who facilitate tyrants like Dalt. Evil blossoms in a  society when good people fail to act. Good people stood by as the Nazis came to power. And where did it get the good people? They died with the rest . Paikin kept his pay cheque by bowing to McGuinty. If Ontario goes so will TVO,  Steve will still be out on his ass like the rest of us.  Daaaaaaaaaa It is a case of short term gain for an eternity of excruciating pain.  If Paikin had levelled with Ontarians 6 years ago and been sacked for it at least he could have held his head high knowing he had not surrender to evil. Now he has to face the facts. Money was more important than the welfare of his audience, kids and all. TVO talks a good game when it comes to the young. But behind the scenes doing the political two step is more important the securing of the futures of the very children Wilde claims to serve. Youth unemployment is now around 15%,  thanks in part to TVO and Steve Paikin playing the McGuinty stooges

********************************************************************************************************

Now I will lay out the issues I feel should be quickly addressed by the Unity Government. There is not a moment to lose playing political games. There is a fix in every case at a rock bottom cost. For that reason the political insiders, the Queen’s Park hangers-on, businesses that do government work, Bay St. and the $ media will not support any of these measures. They do not want the following problems to be solved. They just want ongoing access to your wallets. So we have a fight on our hands. Their continued lives of leisure or our escape from servitude.

*********************************************************************************************************

This is my things-to-do immediately list. It is time to carpe diem [ seize the day ]. This latin expression is part of a longer sentence. Horace coined the phrase, ” Seize the day, putting as little trust as possible in tomorrow “. The Jews had a different take on this same sentiment, ” If not now, then when? “. This is my wrinkle. Seize the day, for our very future depends upon. As does the future of our children. If we do lose the battle for the planet I want Lyin Steve’s kids taken first.

THIS IS OUR LIST OF OF JOB ONES   ————————————————————————————————-   Our electrical system   []   []   Our educational system and the plight of the teachers   []   []   Toronto gridlock   []   []  The Toronto public transit system   []   []   Natural gas / gasoline / oil   []   []   Highway # 407   []   []   Hydrogen /electric vehicles. What follows is an outline of the present problems and my fixes.                                                                   PLEASE  NOTE   —    Many of these fixes are not new. I have been making suggestions [ almost forever ] about upgrading  technical / mechanical SYSTEMS  [ Gridlock / public transit /energy / nuclear / hydrogen et al ]  in Canadian society. But politicians, big business, the movers and takers and the $ media found they could not collect bribes nor make any money based on my outlook. Since my letter writing started 15 years ago [ at least ] Canada has gone downhill both in terms of our democratic institutions and the Country’s wealth. Almost everything that has happen here has come as no surprise. But this week we reached rock bottom. Herr Harper [ who is mentally ill ]  surrounded himself with cheats, liars and thieves but has now added a new category. Namely pervert, in the person of Tom Flanagan, an American draft dodger with a mouth that is far too big, attached to a mind that is far too small. Tom is close in with Harper, Preston Manning, Danielle Smith, the Wild Oil Party, the University of Oil in Calgary, the Fraser Institute and the petro media. Although each one of them is now disowning Flanagan it will not be that easy. He is a big chunk of each entity. They collectively and individually have given Flanagan far too much stage time. Many of them were warned of his weird ideas and thoughts but chose to ignore the dangers he posed to the hard right wing movement in total. Now the evil genie is out of the bottle and I think it will be the moment we have been waiting for. It is time to depose Steve Harper and put him in jail. The crime?  Selling Canada to the US oil cartel. Of course all of those above are liars, with every breath they assault our ears. But I would like to single our U of Calgary’s President, Elizabeth Cannon for a big, fat lie. Liz said Flanagan had been let go  January but the University had not informed anyone. Not. The hard right wing can not function without telling lies to Canadians and themselves.  The reputation of Cannon and the University had reached the  untrustworthy state. Having thrown Tom under the bus and then back dating his leaving confirms the dark place the  University of Calgary inhabits. Of oil, by oil, for oil. There are already right wing vermin coming out of the wood work defending Tom Flanagan in the Harper media, claiming free speech. Paul Godfrey’s National Post is one. You remember the Post?  It is the newspaper that provides a weekly platform for Conrad Black, that infamous British criminal who in now in Canada illegally. It must be mentioned that the Conman is in Canada as Lyin Steve’s personal guest only. Harper did an end run around Canada’s regulations.  Both of them abide by THEIR OWN LAWS and live IN THEIR VERY OWN REALITIES. Godfey’s Post is filled with right wing claptrap based mostly on activities and opinions from the USA. It is the most unbalanced newspaper I have ever seen in Canada. It is a sort of watered down version of  Pravda. There are the regular right wing journoshills like Andrew Coyne, John Ivison and Claudia Cattaneo. Most of the rest of the copy is written by low paid / no paid interns who do what they are told. It is right / oilie propaganda badly done, sort of high school journalism 101. The rest of the contents is American stuff by Charler Krauthammer, George F. Will and others. Both Chuck and George work for the Washington Post, a Paper which has been instrumental in the destruction of the USA. If you remember Will was on the Board of Hollinger and attended one meeting a year for which Conrad Black paid him $ 25,000 for the use of George’s name. Will wrote a glowing article about the Conman without telling anyone he was a hired hand. Sounds like Conrad doesn’t it? Presently our newspapers are printing glowing tributes to Black who cheats, lies and steals. The question is, how much is Connie paying for such favourable publicity in Canada?? Phil Crawley could tell us.

THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM   —   I have been involved with this file for at least a dozen years. I was really awakened to the issue by Mike Harris when he announced the sale of Ontario Hydro. This was the height of stupidity. I heard rumbling within the Party of a big payoff for some insiders. It was clear to me by that time that the PC machine had abandoned the grassroots, me included. I protest the sale, met with my MPP, Janet Ecker and wrote to Harris, who I had met. Mike persisted and so did I. In my area, the northern part of Pickering Township where I had served as a Councillor the PC rank and file were not amused. There were many small irritants caused by the hard right wing stance OUR Party was taking. My neighbours were more in tune with Bill Davis. The prospect of the sale of Ont. Hydro was a huge negative on top of a whole pile of  little negatives. I voiced the opinion to Harris and Ecker that Ont. Hydro was a giant opportunity or a curse. Offer to fix the mess and reclaim the support of Party members. Go ahead with the sale, ignore the interests of Ontarians and suffer the curse of defeat. Fixing Ontario Hydro could have propelled the PCs towards another 42 years of power.  A Judge ruled Mike’s sale invalid and so it never happened. Harris suffered from his sales initiative but never did deliver the KW prize to his Bay St. friends and ENRON.  This is just another example of a politician having no sense of politics. To make matters worse Mike split Hydro into 5 bits [ Hydro One / OPG etc ] in anticipation of a sale. 5 bits would have brought in more money to cover Harris’ hidden $ 3.5 billion debt. 5 bits would give no one private company the ability to control this Province’s  electrical system. I only found out later that ENRON was involved with Harris. Ontario was being sold out by the PCs to the Yankees just as Herr Harper is now selling  out Canada to the Mericans oilies.  5 bits meant that new configuration in terms of a business rendered it unmanageable.  In both cases the $ media was there to support the thefts. Dollars you know. We are fortunate that Ont. Hydro was not sold off in its’ entirety. McGuinty sold off little bits on the Q T.  Talking about devious Dalt, when he was elected I was concerned for Ontario. The creation of 5 separate entities by Harris only made the problems worse. Your present electricity bill proves that I was right 10 years ago. I wrote to the McGuinty and offered my expertise. Dalt ignored me. There was only one way for electrical system to go and that was downhill at an increasingly alarming rate. This fall was  created by devious Dalt’s constant meddling and his need to use the system as a public relations tool. He said he would close the coal plants. Using coal generates cheap electricity and if such a plant is equipped with clean-coal technology its’ waste and emissions are not that much greater than nuclear [ mine to KWs ]. By the way the coal plants were built by the nukies as a backup for possible breakdowns or accidents with our nuclear plants. Going flat out with both coal plants and the nukes we had too much KW capacity. So Ontarians paid extra to have coal stand by if one of the nukes failed. The truth be told Ontario has more than enough hydro electricity both installed and potential to power the whole Province with 2000 MWs spare. That means we do not need either the coal plants or the nuclear plants. But McGuinty and his nukie friends were deathy afraid of revealling our hydro resources. Would you like to see $ 60 billion spent on new nuclear plants and the refurbishment of the older one that generates a charge of 8.5 cents per KW wholesale, when a  water KW is 1.5 cents per KW wholesale? A massive campaign was waged over the years, especially in the Toronto Star to keep our hydro birthright under raps. And it worked. McGuinty, the nukies gave enough of our money to the $ media to ensure we never heard about the cheap / clean KWs that were and still are available. John Honderich of the Star was recently given an award by the Advertising Club of  Toronto at their annual Newspaper Day luncheon. Honderich served / serves the  advertisers well. He carried their propaganda to the readers faithfully and never ever considered the truth and the interest of Ontarians. McGuinty gave us a Conservation Program which was long on talk and short on action. There were loads spent on 5 colour brochures by Dalt.  His nukie friends did not really want KW useage to be reduced. Lower demand would take the heat off building new nukes. Dwight Duncan even staged phony black / brown out in 2005 / 2006 to stampede us into okaying new nukes but the crash of the subprime market south of the border starting in 2006 scuppered new nukes. Ever increasing KW rates drove / drives businesses out of Ontario.  Quebec, Manitoba and Michigan have 6 cent KWs. You and I now pay 20 cents per KW all in to cover the cost of graft for the nukies and bribes to McGuinty’s friends. Devious Dalt gave us smart meters, another boondoggle to hand out money to his friends. If you want a peek at how it is done just look at the Ornge affair. I have watched all this KW abuse unfold since 2003. I wrote maybe 200 letters to the provincial leaders, MPPs, reporters, journalists, papers and TV stations to no avail. This was before I started my blog,  now over 3 years old. The Geeman has been saying the same things since 2009 and again to no avail. I gave McGuinty the same advice in 2004 that I gave to Mike Harris in 2000. Fix the electrical system or be defeated. Harris realized he was going to lose and ran away, leaving poor Ernie Eves hanging by this thumbs. Finally the electrical system has claimed Dalton McGuinty and he has now run away leaving Kathleen Wynne hanging by her thumbs. Both the Liberals and Hudak’s machine fully support the nukies. If that is not changed Ontario’s days are numbered.  Allowing this abuse to continue will take us beyond the point of recall. I will not go into any more detail on Ontario’s electrical system as I have already covered the issue at least a half dozen times. It is now crunch time. So far I have itemized many of the KW problems we face, done in the exact same way as the newspapers do. Long on observation but short on remedies. In fact the $ media never offers any fixes. Let’s change that. So here goes.

********************                                                                                                                                             ********************

[ 1 ]   Cut KW prices in half immediately. There are a multitude of ways to shrink the costs of running the electrical system. Right away Ontarians would see their bill reduced by 50% and this would spur Queen’s Park to go after the savings quickly. Overpayments and fraudulent dealings could be reclaimed.

[ 2 ]   Glue the old Ontario Hydro back together but leave out OPG. Having 5 bits as we have now makes no business sense and any executive with any brains at all would not abide being involved in such an insane system. Hydro One, OPA and the others would become the new Ontario Hydro with the motto, Living  Better With Affordable Electricity “.

[ 3 ]   Sack all of the management teams of the 5 bits. They have made a mess and continue to make a mess due to the fact that they are parasites. They are interested in in a pay cheque and never think of creating a payoff for the ratepayers. With the leadership of OPG cleared out we could install a shut down team to do away with the nuclear plants. Mothballing the plants will be costly but it is better to stop the bleeding of money now. In terms of the $ 22 billion in nuclear waste lying around that is Herr Harper’s. Ontario never accepted responsiblility for this toxic waste. That ball was always in  Atomic Energy of Canada’s court. [ I have a copy of the original agreement between Ontario, the Federal Government and AEC ]. The Province was left in the dark over the radioactive waste.

[ 4 ]   Open up for inspection ALL OF THE CONTRACT NEGOTIATED BY MIKE HARRIS / DALTON McGUINTY WITH PRIVATE OPERATORS. I suspect we will find much the same as has been revealed by the investigation at Ornge. I would see cancellations of contracts, repayment of funds obtained illegally [ with interest, expropriation of businesses and assets and the possibility of jail for those involved].

NOTE   —   I suggested to Mike Harris in 2000, fix Ontario Hydro don’t sell it. I suggested to Dalton McGuinty fix the electrical system or it will ruin you. Neither one of them listened. I have already suggested to Andrea Horwath, promise to fix the electrical system and you will be the next Premier of Ontario with a healthy majority. Then you can implement your agenda with the money to do it..

*********************************************************************************************************

TEACHER /EDUCATION   —   This whole attack on our teachers was a diversionary tactic to aid devious Dalt in escaping imprisionment. McGuinty picked a fight to cover his Government corruption. He been funnelling money to the nukies as well as his friends and Liberal insiders. I would investigate the activities of the Premier’s office from 2003 to 2012 with a view to recovering illegal payments, bribes, graft and gifts like Dalt’s free house. I would go back to the contract that the teacher’s were comfortable with, the one that left them with their negotiated benefits like sick days. The teachers already agreed to hold the line on wages and that is good enough for now. Let’s get Ontario humming again, then we can discuss dividing up the spoils. One problem we may face is that Dalt has shreaded all of his files. If that is the case then we can jail him right away.

********************************************************************************************************

TORONTO GRIDLOCK   —   Ah, one of my favourite peeves. For more than 30 years the City has had a car hating Council,  ever since that pest Jane Jacobs blew into town. She was escaping criminal police charges in NY City and looking for a place to hide her 2 sons from the Vietnam draft. So much for being interested in Toronto’s problems. She hooked up with about 40 people [ elites or self appointed elites from the Annex ], who saw their own interests as being paramount. A couple of these civic minded folk were writers. They cozied up to Jacob’s, Jane was seen as someone could open doors to them. And she did.  All of this me, me, me trumped  the interests of the other 2 million residents. The $ media loved the contest and never took Toronto’s side. Jacob’s was a master of manipulating the press and our papers surrendered to her spell and environmental claptrap.  The  ” Kill the Spadina ” movement had the effect of destroying all of the planning for roads and transit that had been going on for 25 years, since WW 11. To-day we are paying the price for these activities of  Jacobs [ the curse that keep on giving ] and the gang of 40. Right now the Toronto elites and the movers and takers are once again interfering with the life of our City. The $ media again loves it, plenty of advertising dollars, screw the City once again.  The, ” screw the City crowd ”  [ John Tory / Mitzie Hunter / Sun / Star / Civic Action Alliance / elites are pushing to collect even more money from the citizenry to overcome the problems they themselves have created. It is sort of solving one’s problems using somebody else’s credit card. Kathleen Wynne, John Tory, Carol Wilding  and the above, are all calling for road tolls and new taxes to solve Gridlock in the GTA. They have no understanding of the problems and have no real plan to fix the problems. Before another column is written, the $ media editors have to ask John Tory. How did we get into this mess? What is your plan to fix the situation? Tory should have his trap shut with a sock until he answers. Gridlock is being allowed to fester. And thusly it is the perfect tool to extract more money from Torontonians without reducing gridlock. DON’T GIVE THESE PEOPLE, INCLUDING TORY A BLOODY CENT. At least 25% of the gidlock is purposely caused by Toronto Traffic Services at the urging of City Council. Every traffic impediment know to man can be seen in Toronto.  When I was a Pickering Councillor our population was 28,000 people. Each of us wore many hats because we could not afford departments for every activity. We did have Works and Planning but that was about it. Subdivisions were being built and we had to come to grips with all the details. I got a good education on the roads and traffic file. People should be aware of Toronto’s dirty little secret [ The Kill the Car Campaign lasing over 30 years ] The City breaks every rule in the book, its’ little wonder that YOU are sitting bumper to bumper. The Council has inflict this pain on you the drivers [ purposely ]. If you give the elites extra money, what you see now will continue on into the future. They don’t understand the problem so they can’t fix it.  When Rob Ford became Mayor I communicated with him about gridlock. Someone at City Hall was commenting on gridlock and said it would cost $ 328 million for a consultant’s report to outline a plan. I thought to myself, that is preposterous. From my Pickering Council days my hatred of consultants has lingered. The one thing consultants have in common is nerve. They know very little but fake it big.  And charge big. So I put my thinking cap on. I offered to give the Mayor a bird’s eye view of Gridlock for $ 50,000 plus expenses. I proposed we two [ or the Mayor’s designate ] driving around the City with a driver and a planner with a map and mobile computer. I was prepared to identify all the choke points and expand on my ideas.  I figured it would take 6 months to prepare a report. Once the plan was excepted I expected to be paid. So Toronto was risking absolutely  nothing hiring me other than expenses and the wages of a couple of employees and gas money. I distribute this information to the $ media including the papers, leaders and MPPs at Queen’s Park, City Councillors and others. Nary a reply. Gridlock just got worse and gets worse. I figured, eventually the citizens would rise up but that has not been the case so far. Since my offer to Mayor Ford I have continued to work on the gridlock question. I have come up with one solution.  There must be others out there like me who are shut out of this debate. The movers and takers can’t make any graft for plans  I have developed. Look at the streetcar mess on St. Clair. That’s what the insiders like to do. Of course with having lots of tax money they can buy up the $ media. So the city is slowly being squeezed and you a footing the bill for the squeezing.  The press would never dare publicize plans like mine. Advertsing dollars would be withheld by the rich and powerful. What has changed in the past few weeks is the elites are now trying to extract more money from Torontonians to solve gridlock. A problem that doesn’t  really exist [ it is Toronto made ]. This is something that has been inflicted on the City by a Council deep into social engineering. They don’t like cars and are bent on driving you out of your’s. The only ray of sunshine  is that Kathleen Wynne has taken ownership of Toronto’s gridlock. That is where the problem of gridlock will be solved, Queen’s Park. However Wynne can’t have her tolls and more money. 25% of gridlock can be solved quickly, on the cheap and I have the plan to do just that. After 2 years I have completed the preliminary plan which can be accessed immediately the Legislature is in session. I will only work with the Government at Queen’s Park. I want $ 250,000 for 5 year contract [ $ 50,000 per year ] plus expenses. I will oversee the plan’s implementation. I want the management teams of Toronto Transportations Services [ masters in creative constriction ] and the Toronto Parking authority sacked. I can’t see the mess we are in getting any worse with these incompetent people sitting at home. I won’t outline my plan here it is too complicated. I suggest that the Legislature strike a Standing Committee on Toronto Gridlock under the new Unity Government. Unity Gov. is when all parties recognize the gravity of the situation and they move to address the problems sans politics. In otherwords a total commitment to the citizens. I would be happy to meet with such a Committee. To give you an idea as to where I am headed here is a brief preview.

**********************                                                                                                                                              **********************

Toronto has 10,000 streets. I have picked about 20 to be designated Thru Streets and all the rest would be People Streets. Examples of  Thru Streets Jane St., Eglinton Ave. and Kingston Rd. They would have 4 unobstructed traffic lanes their entire lengths. Most of the traffic lights would be removed and there would be no left hand turns onto side streets [ 7 am to 8 pm ]. Left hand turns would only be allowed at traffic lights. THERE WOULD BE NO STANDING ON THRU STREETS [ NO EXCEPTIONS ]. Those who park on a Thru Street will be towed and ticketed, this includes couriers / shred-it-trucks etc. The intersections at Thru Streets will be computer controlled, increasing / decreasing the green light intervals depending on traffic flows. East / west advance greens will go on for left and right turns going each way. Then the green for through traffic. Through traffic intervals will be longer than at present. Then north /south, advance greens left / right then the through greens. After this cycle is completed reds will come on for all traffic. Pedestrians will use the entire intersection designated as a X walk, straight across or diagonally. No  bicycles will be permitted on Thru streets. The speed limit will be kept low. What I am after is traffic that keeps moving steadily and doesn’t fill the sky with CO2 and the air with poisonous carbon monoxide. This grid system of Toronto Thru Sts. will take cars off the Don Valley Pkwy., # 401, #  427 and the Gardiner Ex. If I am at Leslie and Eglinton nowdays I would never think of driving through the City to Islington Ave. I’d go up to # 401, then back down into the City. Going along Eglinton, it would be 10 miles and take an hour, mostly with a idling engine spewing lots of pollution. An idling engine is very inefficient. Going # 401 the journey would be 16 miles, I’d use a little more gas, cause less pollution and be there in a 1/2 hour if the traffic was normal. If it was busy this # 401 route would be no quicker, I would use even more gas and cause more pollution. This is pure craziness. People Streets would be Yonge St., Bloor St., The Danforth and St. Clair which the Council has already destroyed as the thoroughfare. Faster traffic would be removed for the other 9980 streets and the Council could play all the games they wanted [ like bike lanes etc ] and take out all those $ 3000 speed bumps. I’d rebuild the Gardner Ex. There are ways to deal with falling chunks of concrete, much cheaper than what is quoted in the papers. Again the bill is being padded.  Over the last 10 years the Councillors have buried $ 40 million slated for the maintenance the Gardiner with the intention of pushing it beyond repair. This is irresponsible. If you lose 3 shingle from the roof of your house and wait ten years you will suffer thousands of $s in water damage. Like maybe $ 10,000. This to avoid a $ 100 roof repair. This is our City Council. By the way the Gardiner can be repaired for a lot less than is being quoted. Queen’s Park has to expropriate the 20 Thru Streets and get this grid system out of the hands of Toronto Council. If YOU want we can start on Gridlock  as soon as the Legislature reconvenes. Call your MPP. The problem is there are too many pigs with their noses in the trough to just monkey with bandaids. We have to take away the trough. This fix requires cutting deeply into the flesh to remove the cancer. Will this be done??? I borrow an old saying. You can lead a people to prosperity but you can’t make them seize it.

Note   —   I have created a map of Toronto [  66 in x 30 in ] onto which I have transfered the entire Thru Street Grid . You can’t buy a map like this. It is the springboard to immediate implementation and the defeat of Gridlock, affordably. Stepping back, it would seem to me to be quite a bargain, spending $ 250,000 to do something right away as opposed to forking out $328 million plus for yakers to solve the problem in 5 years? Ten years? Never? Who knows?

TORONTO PUBLIC TRANSIT SYSTEM   —   My file on this subject is about 6 inches thick, mostly containing newspaper clippings. They sport tens of thousands of words, this gibberish goes from nowhere to nowhere.  What we have is the citizenry who are paying big dollars for something they are not getting.  Bluntly they are being shortchanged on transit. And they have no way to express their displeasure. They can’t get at Metrolinx, a McGuinty creation nor the TTC which is a step away from the City Council. A small number of people make a lot of money from this dysfunctional two headed monster. My file contains the efforts by the $ media to ensure that the only solutions put forth are the ones which provide the monsters with the biggest payday. The streetcar fiasco on St. Clair is the perfect example, estimated at $ 60 million, the eventual bill being $ 140 million. Those are hard earned tax dollars but the movers and takers show no respect for the 2.5 million Torontonians who pay the bills. In terms of St. Clair no one has been brought to account and now we are beginning all over again, another heist. The elites think if a $ 160 million theft can be forced down the throats of Torontonians why not billions?  About 6 years ago my son James and I were invited to make a proposal to cool the subways in London England. We were supplied with their proprietary information as requested. As we addressed the overheating in the tube specific technical information was required by us.  James flew over to London twice for onsite inspections. Engineers with the Underground had been trying to unlock the secret of overheating for more than 2 years with no success. We found that they were searching in the wrong place. They did not determine the problem so it was obvious that the engineers could not find the solution. James and I did some trouble shootings. A Bakerloo Line advertisement from 1905 invited Londoners to come use the Tube during the summers when the temp was 90 deg F up top, while it was 60 deg F. down in the subway. When James and I were engaged the reg. temp down below had passed 72 deg F. It increased from there once the trains started running and all the bodies arrived. When we came on the scene the temp on occasion was over 90 deg F on the platforms. People were throwing up, fainting and the tracks were becoming distorted. Internal documents showed a one deg F rise in the Tube each 10 years starting in 1905. The solution to cooling the Tube lies right there. Why was the temp climbing each year? What do you think?  Once the continual rise in temp is understood a reversal of that trend can begin. James and I found the answer and develop an inexpensive fix. But we found we were up against an entrenched bureaucracy which had spent hundreds of thousands of pounds over 2 years on wild goose chases. They were not about to let a couple of colonials  fish in their waters. We were faced with hostility from the engineers. The politicians wanted  a fix and still do. The overheating problem was only going to be solved by the engineers even if they had to steal the fix. If they could not steal ideas there would be no fix and there hasn’t been one to date. Londoners have no inkling that they are paying big money to be inconvenienced by a small group of selfish individuals.  The engineers wanted the recipe to our secret sauce WITHOUT SIGNING A CONTRACT. As the fall of that year arrived the plight of the passengers evaporated. Everyone is concerned when the roof leaks. When it stops raining the repairs still have to be made. But some people forget the leaks until the next downpour. Too many politicans forget the needed repairs when the pressure is off. So too the Tube saga. The Underground engineers had time on their side, things had cooled off and an election for Mayor was in the offing. I would guess that said engineers thought James and I could be talked into spilling the beans. We had expended our own money. However they did not know the Spratleys. Our name goes back to Yorkshire and the time of the Viking raids in 900 AD. It takes a stubborn Englisman to deal with a stubborn Englishman.I have been an inventor / idea man all my life. I have encountered many snakes who prowl the landscape preying on inventors and looking to steal ideas. This was happening 60 years ago and is happening in to-day’s world. I realized the game that the Underground was playing, I closed the file and James and I have gone on to other things. It is interesting that the Tube overheating problem still exists. Those responsible have never determined the problem and thus can’t arrive at the fix. I must admit that there has not been a repeat of the hot spell encountered when James and I were involved. The EU has regulations about the max temp allowed in subways. Interestingly, you can not ship cattle on a train at the temp set by the EU. However, due to Global Warming there will be more hot summers. Sometimes a scorcher can last for a week or longer. In that case, if the temp goes through the roof watch for the London Underground to be shuttered. Can you imagine that City without their Tube. If  it happens the problem can be laid squarely at the doorstep of a few engineers who put the presevation of their egos / reputations above the interests of the larger community. The very ridership they were paid to serve. In one short year I got a crash course on public transportation. I have many readers in the UK. I wonder if a rider who uses the Tube will pick up on this story and speak up. I became aware of the problems in this City’s public transportation system with various incidents involving the TTC and the proposal for a badly needed, direct, hi speed link between Union Station and Pearson. The Link idea has been bouncing around for a long time. Devious Dalt then put Rob Prichard in charge of Metrolinx and the red flag went up. Rob was a two time loser at that moment.  Prichard had been the President of the University of  Toronto from 1990 to 2000. His term was a rocky one, there were conflict of interest issues. Prichard and his friends decimated the U of  T professor’s pension fund by reducing its’ value to half. In 2001 Prichard took of the Toronto Star as CEO and proceeded to ruin the Paper. Rob and his friends [ another give away ]  loaded the Star with more than $ 500 million in debt. it is interesting that David Olive of the Star writes about business BUT ALWAYS AFTER THE FACT. THAT IS SAFE GROUND. Olive recently wrote about the demise of  newspapers  in North America. One of the main reasons for the failures according to Olive is the owners loaded the papers up with debt and the interest payments killed them. David in fear for his paycheque never mentioned that Prichard did exactly the same thing. He along with his buddies piled up the debt at the Star so much so the 100 year old Paper is doomed. Rob was asked to leave the Star by the Paper and was given $ 9 million to go away. That nine mill came right out of the pockets of Star employees. It shows  Prichard’s regard for Lady Black’s little people [ us ]. It has now come to light that Prichard is a behind the scenes lobbist for the MGM / Cadillac Fairview Casino bid. Rob can’t seem to keep his hand out of the cookie jar. Prichard plays both sides of the street and then some. He wants to eat his cake and have it three. I have said many time that McGuinty got a free house worth more than a million dollars. It would seem normal that devious Dalt shelled out money to his friends via Prichard. We should ask for Rob’s head on a platter. Toronto bid for the 2015 Pan Am and was successful. One of the conditions was a link from the airport to the City proper. VIPs and athletes were not about to spend an hour or so on # 401 getting back and forth. Metrolinx is a paper agency set up by McGuinty to handle the larger task of providing public transit across the GTA and to built the airport link. Our very own Rob Prichard reappeared as head of Metrolinx. This Liberal transport agency [ front ] swallowed GO Transit and has made a mess of that too. Ride GO lately?  Metrolinx Link maps appeared which made no technical sense to me. Statements made by Prichard in regards to the Link made no technical sense either. I communicated my concerns to Queen’s Park, Metrolinx and the $ media . There was as usual no acknowledgement.  Because of Rob’s background I concluded that McGuinty had set the Agency up as a money sewer to funnel funds to his friends just like Ornge. The Airport Link was yet another excuse, another way to siphon off funds and it  provides for great cover. The Link will not serve 90% of the population, the little people as Lady Black likes to call us. This is discrimination Toronto style.  Prichard was certainly the right guy for the job of Liberal Party bag man. A real uppity guy. Metrolinx has spent a ton of money and accomplished exactly zero. More recently McGuinty added Bruce McCuaig as CEO of Metrolinx. He’s a 20 year veteran Queen’s Park bureaucrat. Just the kind of visionary needed to solve Ontario’s public transportation problems. Not.  Bruce is a McGuinty stooge. McCuaig became CEO in July 2010 and on occasion just to prove he is indeed grossly incompetent has made various stupid statements. The $ media duly prints them, making no comment. The most recent utterance from McCuaig is that he is going to charge for GO parking. We need an affordable / fast / convenient transportation system to get people out of their cars. Soaking the shit out of them is not the way to go. But then McCuaig is just a puppet on strings, there to facilitate McGuinty and friends skimming off taxpayer’s cash and the use of Metrolinx for Liberal political gain. If you go on the net there are a number of maps of the Metrolinx Airport Link. The Link will use 50 year old diesel locomotives and refurbished cars. It will use the existing rail right of way now used by GO and freight trains. There will only be a couple of stops between the airport and Union Station and the service won’t be available to the public. In a sense the Link is a private diesel rail taxi service for the Pan Am Games created at public expense. Prichard said it will only be needed for two weeks but will serve generations. Bullshit. Mind, the Link will be cheaper than closing # 401 for the 2 week duration of the Games. If you look at the map of the Link you will see a 200 deg hook at the top end which is 2 km long. The existing rail track goes right by the race track toward the N / W. That hook seems to make use of a phantom industrial spur line that was there 50 years ago. The Link route goes right through the middle of an industrial park filled with giant warehouses etc. This last 2 kms of the Link is shown trespassing on property not owned by Metrolinx. Ontarians are being lied to one more time. I bought this matter up 2 years ago with the Government, Metrolinx and included the $ media but I was ignored. The papers can’t make any money telling the truth, lies pay much better. At that time I forecast this scenerio. Without being told, Pan Am visitors would be bused the 2 kms from the airport to the main rail line after which they would be wisked away to Union Station aboard 50 year old refurbished diesel locomotives / cars. And for this we are going to pay more than$ 400 million. Can you imagine world travellers returning home and reliving their ride on such ancient trains. This will surely be a feather in the cap of Canadians, we are fast becoming a third rate power. Caused by a small number of people helping themselves to the wealth of the nation. The Air Rail Link [ a separated company ] is headed by the usual know nothing McGuinty appointee. Kathy Haley, is Pres. of the Link and has absolutely no mechanical / transportation experience. In the past, Kathy [ the coffee lady ]  set up On The Go coffee  shops in service stations. Just what we need, the head of brain surgery, someone who has never even been in a hospital parking lot. In fact if you go on the net you can see the number of suits who run Metrolinx. 3 men have technical experience. A yank, who comes from the public transportation sector in California. he would really understand Toronto’s needs, right? One Englishman who really knows what Torontonians need, right? The third is a Canadian with experience at CN / CP. Another knowledgeable  public transit person. Little wonder the Province’s public transit is in such disarray. Not one person in management or on the Board at Metrolinx has any first hand Canadian / Toronto public transit experience. A huge expensive boondoggle. It is a rerun of the blind leading the blind and costing us a fortune. Metrolinx was a public relations front for devious Dalt. Announcements and initiatives were timed to buy votes for the Liberals. I would suggest that behind the scenes Rob Prichard runs the same kind of operation that we are seeing at Ornge. McGuinty’s pals making a killing. In any event we will find out the level of bribes and graft once the rebuilding of the GTA public transit system begins, then we can have a much closer look.  Union Station has great potential to be this great City’s centre. It is now a dismal place, badly operated. The people involved in this mismanagement should be lined up along the front of the Royal York and shot. The Station is like a sewer. Everyone coming into the centre of the City is dumped into it. So crawl out and then proceed to their real destination. Union Station is actually a transportation choked point, ignored and unloved. By putting an elevated, electrified SkyLiner system all around the outer boundry of Toronto rider could go where they want to go, in a timely fashion and stay out of the downtown. The bonus here is getting drivers out of their cars. The SyLiner would be cheaper, faster and have a much smaller environmental footprint. Union Station could be developed into a destination spot  rather than a choke point. All the residents of the GTA could could come into the City see a show, catch hockey, dine and sight see. Then be wisked home in quick grand style without have to drive. Sound to be too good to be true. It is within our reach. We just have to stop electing to politicians who are dullards, who have no vision, who act like sheep and subscribe to a set ideology and whose main aim is not filling their pockets at the expense of the people.

Public transit WILL NOT BE IMPROVED UNTIL GRIDLOCK, CYCLISTS AND PEDESTRIANS ARE FACTORED INTO THE MIX. A new Provincial agency must be formed to take over Metrolinx, GO and the TTC. Maybe People Transit might be a good name, with two aims. Providing services the residents of the GTA to the max and at the lowest possible cost. Right now public transit serves the interests of politicians and those who operate the system. As far as the cost is concerned it amounts to whatever they decide THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH, the cost benefit rule is never applied. To create the public transit the City dwellers desire and deserve we need to know what the problems are. This has yet to be done. Read on.

**********************                                                                                                                                              **********************

Toronto as a City grew like an inverted T. Settlement spread along the lakeshore and up Yonge St. The longest road in the world, laid by John Graves Simcoe, in 1793. The topgraphy of Toronto determined its’ growth pattern. Going from east to west is the old shore of Lake Iroquois, a remnant of the ice age. Just below St. Clair there is a steep hill going across Bayview Ave., Yonge St., Avenue Rd., Bathurst St., Dufferin St. and so on. In the early days of the City one could only gain access to the heights by using Yonge St. So growth took place to the north and either side of Yonge St. And this thinking has dominated development and public transit ever since. Mel Lastman’s expensive Sheppard Ave. subway shows this Neanderthal approach. But once the leadership is taken over by those who always do things the way they have always done things, look out. Decay sets in. Grow or die is forgotten. There was an attempt to use Bathurst St. to get to the heights. Horse drawn wagons climbed the hill starting at Davenport Ave. near Castle Loma up, over to Bathurst. Bathurst only went north of St. Clair about 1/4 mile and hit a ravine. So a log road was put in from Bathurst and St. Clair to Dufferin and Eglinton [ Fairbank ] to take advantage of the fact that Dufferin St. from there on north was level / dry and gave access to all of the farms. The plank road was put in to overcome the swampy ground, we know it as Vaughan Rd.  I went to Vaughan Rd. Public and Vaughan Rd. High Schools. The first area on the heights to be considered for development other than the Yonge St. corridor was between Bathurst / Caledonia and Eglinton / Lawrence. To facilitate this development the beltline railway was built in 1890. These far seeing people did the right thing at the wrong time. A recession in the early 1890s killed the project. It was a circular rail line that could transport people / goods all around the outside of the then City to home base at Union Station. The value of  this orbital approach to a public transportation system is completely lost on the planners at Metrolinx to-day. This is not a surprise because nobody in the management of Metrolinx has Canadian public transit experience and few of them know the GTA itself. What are we going to get out of this lot? Hefty bills, that’s about all. Downtown was the centre of the universe in Toronto early on but then things began to change. We changed from a lay out using an inverted T to an inverted Xmas tree.  Public transit lines went off in all directions but they required the riders to come back to the centre before going out in another direction. If you lived in Rexdale there was no easy way to get to Scarborough. If you lived in Scarborough and didn’t have a car, forget about getting a job at Pearson. Even as we contemplate spending $ 50 billion over 25 years on the Metrolinx, ” BIG MOVE ” [ I call it the BIG THEFT ] we are still tied to the inverted Xmas tree. Rob Prichard and his team are like milk cart horses, they have basic skills but never progress any further. They keep on doing the same stupid things over and over. This was bad news for the riders seeing as Metrolinx has had McGuinty’s full support to spend the $ 50 billion. And others with better ideas haven’t been able to get a word in edgewise but that is about to change. Devious Dalt has run away in disgrace hoping he can avoid criminal charges. People are not prepared to pay additional taxes and road tolls to stay in the same place, Gridlock and lousy public transit.  Toronto got itself into this mess with the arrival of Jane Jacobs, an American fleeing the law and having little understanding of the City’s problems. Jane had been involved with a group in NY City who wanted to stop an expressway from cutting through an area of older buildings, low rent housing and an artist colony. Jacobs was part of that leadership but left before the mission was completed to make sure her two sons were not caught in the Vietnam draft. But in these parts Jane gets all the credit for the N Y protest campaign. Others actually finshed the job, no thanks to Jacobs. Another interesting part about Jane is she wanted to stop cars going through her neighbourhood in NY but she gave no thought as to what to do with those vehicles. When she was asked about cars Jacobs said it was not her problem. Jane had a pie-in-the-sky view of life. The interest of other never entered her mind, nor did it for her FEW SUPPORTERS in Toronto. Her motto cities are for people was simplistic and attractive and wrongheaded. The 70% of  Torontonians who own cars are people too. But they didn’t count with the Stop Spadina crowd. The S. S.  little enclave was to be saved from being despoiled by other citizens exercising their right to go anywhere on Toronto streets. I can drive on your road but you can’t come on mine. Toronto papers loved this scrap and the public was never given the other side of the story. Traffic / public transit planning started after WW 11 and by 1960 it had become integrated. The two were to be developed together. The Spadina Expressway as a 4 lane thru road with public transit in between the lanes. And entire City plan had been developed, new road and transit lines. Jane’s and her small band of shit disturbers treated the the Spadina Ex. as if it was the super highway in New York City. The papers, like puppies wagging their tails went along for the ride never think of thinking for themselves as to the value of the traffic / transit plan to the whole City. Candidates for City Council jumped on the bandwagon, ” cities are for people “, was mindless but sounded good. With only 30% of the voters turning out for municipal elections Jacob’s pitch resonated with enough people to elect car hating Councillors. That attitude lasted till David Miller quit in 2010 [ about 35 years ].   Bill Davis became the Leader of the PCs in the spring of 1971, he faced an election in the fall of 71.  The Stop Spadina movement got press way beyond their numbers and having Jane Jacobs involved carried extra weight. Davis was concerned that the Spadina question would cost him votes, so he cancelled funding. That and the funding for Catholic high schools was badly handled by Davis. I worked for him but was not pleased on these two fronts. When the Spadina Ex. unravelled the whole Toronto Traffic / Transit plan fell apart.  Council did not revist the plan and instituted a war on cars. Drive people out of their vehicles and they will be forced to take the TTC. With a steady stream of new riders promised the TTC could coast on its’ reputation and no attention had to be paid to customer service. Just sit there and count the money. So we have had 35 years of purposely impeding vehicles by Toronto Traffic Services. Cars were supposed to disappear and the TTC could bolster service as it saw fit, the new riders had no recourse. Gridlock was not supposed to happen. Drivers said to Council, screw you I will continue to drive my car. Councillors said to Toronto Traffic create even more barriers and so it went. Now Toronto is in one king size mess thanks to Jane Jacobs, Councillors who got voted in on a ticket of banning vehicles, Toronto Traffic Services with its’ anti car management and the $ media which loves a good controversy even if the end result is the destruction of  the City. Now the movers and takers, along with the insiders want YOU TO PAY FOR 35 YEARS OF MISMANAGEMENT. Knowing how we got to this point will allow us to reverse the process. Torontonian are now faced with a possible soaking if Kathleen Wynne, John Tory, Carol Wilding et al get their way with the help of the ever ready $ media. The rich and powerful are now pushing a discussion as to how you will pay to clean up this mess. They have decided THAT YOU WILL PAY THE BILL. But you will be free to decide how to pay the bill. Nice, the decision makers have decided you will drink poison and are giving you a choice of what brand of poison you prefer. I say don’t pay a bloody cent. John Tory and Mitzie Hunter co authored a piece in the Sun onFeb. 7 /13 about Gridlock / transit. These two are fronts for the movers and takers. The Sun just printed this crap. I would say to Tory and Hunter, your next article must contain a detailed plan and cost for its’ implementation. No excuses. I don’t think they have one.  There is an affordable way to proceed with Gridlock and  Transit but the problem is those on the inside, the backers of John and Mitzie will not be able to profit from the fixes I am proposing. That’s your choice. Are you interested in your interests or are you going to accomodate the elites?  Gridlock I have already tackled, let’s do public transit. Call your MPP.

The Big Theft is supposed to cost $ 50 billion. I can just see the insiders, they are already licking their chops and figuring out how to spend YOUR MONEY.  We already have an inverted Xmas tree, subways, streetcars, buses and GO transit system. The expansion of the transportation system with Rob Prichard at the head of Metrolinx. While the world electrifies he plays around with 50 year old diesel technology. Toronto is suffering from gun violence. When all of this activity is plotted on a map it is clear most of it happen in working class areas. And yet Prichard’s transit plans relate to the affluent parts of the city. The GTA is being asked to contribute to provide services to the rich. Mel Lastman’s ill fated Sheppard Subway goes from nowhere to nowhere within an affluent area. Those in Rexdale and Scarborough are locked in for lack of public transit. Their job opportunities are limited and the tough life breed violence. Metrolinx should be put down. This great City is so poorly managed, it is enough to make on weep. It is time the Legislature put its’ ass in gear. The trick is to take everything in this mix and give it a role to play. The subways, streetcars and GO are on fix rails. The subways traverse the densely populated area of the City just like London UK.  But if you are at the west end of the Bloor subway and wanted to go to Finch and Yonge you would have to go into the City before going north. What if we had a orbital Elevated Electric People Mover that would take you around the outside of Toronto. You could go from the end of Bloor Street to Finch across to Yonge then down into the City. You can imagine being anywhere in the City and going around the outside then into your destination, maybe a trip of 20 minutes. I’ll bet you would leave the car at home. London now has 3 orbital subway systems and another coming on stream. They are called inner [ going back 100 years ], middle, outer and the super outer. Toronto doesn’t even have one although the 1960s City traffic / transit plan had an orbital line. Vancouver has an orbital line.  No, we are mired in the past, 50 year old refurbished diesel trains for our Airport Link at  just $ 400 million a pop. This, thanks to retarded thinkers like McGuinty and his errand boy, Rob Prichard. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa Some of London’s subways run at grade or are elevated, depending on the terrain [ go on the net, look up Orbirail and see what we are missing ]. Each line runs on a dedicated track and never encounters vehicular traffic. Our streetcars are located in the older parts of the Toronto. The GO lines all come in to Union Station from outside with no stops in the city proper. Bus routes try to fill in the voids and of course have to fight cars for road space, the service is miserable as Gridlock get worse. More than three years ago I proposed an Orbital elevated electric system called the Skyliner. I made drawing and circulated the proposal to devious Dalt, Queen’s Park, Metrolinx and of course the $ media. I never got a bite. When I first started blogging I wrote about my Orbiral plan, again no response. Now 3 years later things, are much worse and yet the people responsible can only think of soaking you even more. Picking your pocket makes it look like they are doing something useful. With the hot Tube problem in London the engineers were spending tens of thousands of Pounds chasing wild geese. They refused to let anyone else into the game. The politicians didn’t demand results and the overheating has never solved. Mayor Ken Livingstone offered a prize of $ 250,000 to cool the tube. James and I did just that but the Mayor wouldn’t pay off. Livinstone was running a scam. His engineers were involved in the contest, they were looking for ideas to purloin which they could claim as their own. David Waboso and Isabel Dedring [ assistants to Mayor Johnson should look up the Spratley file ]. The same elite process is taking place here in Toronto. The public is being invited to become involved but this too is a scam. The Liberal machine and Prichard have their own agenda. and don’t care what the citizens think or say. Those in charge are incompetent and intent on thievery. And up to now they have been protected by McGuinty. Fortunately for us Dalt is no more, he is actually in hiding. The Liberals are toast if  Wynne doesn’t address Gridlock / public transit. But she’ll get no extra taxes and of course no road tolls either. Here is the plan.

**********************                                                                                                                                               **********************

The Electronic Elevated People Mover [ EEPM ] [ Skyliner ] made by Bombardier is the key to the new system. It is clear we can’t add any more traffic to the roads. Better still would be to take some traffic off the roads. If 50 miles of Skyliner track eliminates 15% of the Gidlock and we can reduce Gridlock another 25% by reversing the traffic impediments installed by anti car Councils over the past 30 years we’d be getting close to a 50% reduction. The actual reduction of Gridlock alone might cost to $ 1.5 million including my fee of $ 250,000 [ plus costs ]. The main cost would be creating the grid of thru streets. The price for 50 miles of skyliner track, trains and hardware would probably be about $ 10 Billion spread over the 5 years of implementation. The BIG THEFT [ 25 years ] [ $ 50 billion ], is a plan put forward by Rob Prichard / Metrolinx, being promoted by John Tory and the Toronto Board of Trade and fully endorsed by the $ media [ because they are being paid to promote Liberal propaganda ]. This Big Theft is like buying a 19 in TV from the 1950s instead of buying a Blackberry. The important factor now in play is for the $ media to only let you see the options put forward  by the Liberal machine. This what Hitler’s book burning was all about, keep the population ignorant. A Skyliner has an aluminum fuselage like  a Boeing / Airbus. It is wide bodied as to VIA trains [ 6 abreast with 2 aisles ]. Each car is self propelled with electric motors in the bogies. The bogies are rubber tired for quiet operation. Individual trains can have one to 6 cars depending on traffic. Each train will have a steward / stewardess. Trains will be automated, no driver. On a 6 car train you will be able to walk from end to end. There will be provision for cycles, strollers and luggage. The Skyliners will be climate controlled. What it is is a modern, wide bodied train on legs. The Blu Line will run from Malvern, west across the City above Finch and down to Pearson Airport [ maybe 12 stops ]. All of the northern GO lines [ green ] will intersect with the Blu line. People in the GTA will be able to travel by GO, to the Blu Line, transfer over and be whisked into the airport terminal. The Red line will run from Union Station and meet the Blu line at the Etobicoke North GO Station. Travellers from the City will transfer to the Blu Line for the trip to the airport [ maybe 5 stops ]. The Purple Line will go from the Bloor Subway, up the Don Valley, intersect with the easterly end of the Sheppard subway and then on up to the Blu Line at # 404. The Silver Line will go from the end of the Bloor Subway at Kennedy and Eglinton, through the Scarborough Town Centre to Malvern. This technology is being used in many advanced cities around the world with great success. It is time to say bye, bye to Prichard’s 50 year old diesels. Rob’s Airport Link has been set up as a separate company so it can be sold to the private sector the minute the Pan Am Games are over. As envisaged the Link will always be a money loser so the sale will be a deal to subsidize operation with tax dollars to guarantee a profit. I’ll bet Prichard and McGuinty’s pals have already worked out the deal. This is the same thing that happened with Bruce Power and Highway # 407. The PC Party machine had its’ nose in the # 407 trough too. Neither of those give aways would stand close scrutiny. I wrote to devious Dalt offering to go through the # 407 contract, everyone knows it was flawed and said flaws would void the contract. And probably send some of the PC insiders to jail let alone the bandits who lease # 407. I would see the cars being built in Toronto by Bombardier, the tracways and pylons [ made from alloy steel tube ] could be prefabricated in the abandon GM plant in Oshawa. In every spot for a pylon all that would be needed is poured concrete footing. The actual system would be bolted together on site like a Meccano set. In Kingston the carbon fiber cladding could be made for the tracways, pylons and stations / car barns etc. The prefabricated / modular stations and bogies could be manufactured in Windsor to take advantage of their heavy industry capabilities. All of the electronics, controls, monitoring equipment, third rails, motors etc could be made in North Bay. In terms of North Bay there are a couple of considerations. China is selling this type of product to the Tar Sands, pipelines, municipal transit authorities and city water systems. China doesn’t have to invade Canada. Once they have a toe in the door with buying tar sands properties as part of their oil banking they can withhold parts from Canadian businesses and operators. Worse still they could then easily hack our systems and shut whole cities and industries down. The Greater Toronto Transit Corp. should be totally self sufficient. Everything made in Ontario and all the jobs kept here in  this Province [ unions welcome ]. Since so much of this sysyem is new technology, universities and colleges would be needed to train people for the new tasks. Two special groups should be tapped for their skills. Canada’s Veterans and First Peoples. Once the Skyliners are up and running, within 5 years I can see the TTC having to rearrange the bus routes to take advantage of the thru street grid and to connect to the Skyliner tracways. This concept means you will be able to go anywhere in the City to anywhere in the City, quickly. Those in the GTA will be able to drive to a GO station at a distance, park, travel to a Skyliner station and go anywhere in the City quickly. The hydro electric capacity / potential in Northern Ontario is soon going to come back on stream. There are more than 100 hydro plants which have been mothballed by McGuinty and the nukies. The nuclear industry is scared shitless of water. They have no presence in Manitoba nor do they now in Quebec. AEC built 2 nukes in that Province at a cost of over $ 3 billion. The nukies could never get Gentilly One operational. It did not produce a single commercial KW in its’ entire life. Gentilly Two has just been closed for good by Quebec. It is in urgent need of costly repairs. But Quebec has watched the nukies make a mess of the single nuke in New Brunswick. Two years behind the repair schedule and almost a $ billion overun. Quebec said no thanks and has gone back to relying on hydro. McGuinty and his nukie friends [ who gave the Dalt a free million dollar house ] have kept Ontario’s water under raps for years.  Demand for electricity has dropped because people can’t pay 20 cents a KW. So the nukies have been closing hydro plants where the cost of a KW is 1/2 a cent behind the dam. If we finally smarten up and go all water the nukes and the coal plants will be toast. And the nukies will become extinct. With cheap / clean KWs  available we can have Dedicated Deliver of electricity to the Skyliner control centre. New water turbines are on the drawing board which would improve the efficiency of Ontario’s hydro plants by about 25%. I see North Bay as the place to design and build those new turbines. Moving into these new areas gives us an opportunity to involve the First Peoples. Rob Prichard should be sent packing, he is a disgrace. This time he doesn’t get a dime for doing badly. If I get a chance I will want to go through all his deals with McGuinty’s friends. We should be able to get some dough back and maybe even a jail term or three. In terms of John Tory, he doesn’t get it, people want rid of him. His best-before-date is way passed. I would suggest to John, just go away and find something useful to do with yourself. Stop bothering Ontarians.

HIGHWAY #407 EXPROPRIATION   —   I have been writing about this subject for years. Hwy # 401 was being built as a Toronto Bypass when I was a kid. Immediately it opened it was obsolete as Torontonians used it to get from Kennedy Rd. to Dufferin. It became a thru Hwy for internal traffic. Since # 401 was designed for 8 lanes the centre 4 became the Express and the outer lanes became the Collectors. Get on the Express and you have a very limited number of interchanges. But along the way traffic continued to increase especially trucks going around the City. So a new Toronto Bypass was planned, # 407. Develoment was bobbing along quite nicely when a thoroughly dishonest politician came along. No silly, I don’t mean McGuinty. No, the dishonest one before him, Mike Harris. Our boy Mike [ and to think I worked for this guy ], was running a hidden deficit of $ 3.5 billion. I didn’t know and I believe most rank and file PCers didn’t know either. Those who did know, John Baird,  Jim Flaherty, Tony Clement, John Snobelen and Tim Hudak among others. Mike came up with an angle to raise funds, lease # 407 to the private sector and sell Ontario Hydro to private companies. The sale of our electrical system blew me and my friends in Pickering away. I walked away from the PCs and have never looked back. They have moved too far right for my taste. I am a student of history I view Hudak and his little band of Canadian Republicans as Fascists just like Herr Harper. # 407 got leased to a band of  bandits who are holding Ontarians for ransom. They act like the mob. People who use # 407 pay high rates to go from nowhere to nowhere, it was designed as a Toronto Bypass and isn’t being used for that purpose now. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.  The leasees of  # 407 were given a licence to extort money from us by Harris. He didn’t suceed in selling Ontario Hydro, Mike was stopped by the Courts. But he did screwed things up royally by splitting it into 5 bits. But as you know we will begin fixing the electrical system shortly. Either the Legislature will get its’ act in gear or you will force the fix by picking up a pitchfork. Harris could see his defeat in the crystal ball and ran away. Just like McGuinty. Probably both of them were motivated by the same fear, the fear of jail time. I always thought the # 407 deal smelled. Then I found out that agreement was flawed in a way that would void it. I offered to review the document for McGuinty to see if we could nulify the lease. As per usual devious Dalt ignored me. # 401 is pumping far too much carbon monoxide into Toronto’s air. Other cities have tested for levels of this killer. People are dying from Carbon Monoxide poisoning sitting in traffic jams in the USA. We have a grandstander and headline hunter in our City Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David McKeown. I have written to him about testing for Carbon Monoxide but he apparently unmoved, obviously too busy polishing his image. Besides Big Oil would not like people to know about the dangers.  A kid died here while sitting in a car that had been backed into snow drift after the last storm. Carbon Monoxide lurks around our many streets especialy those that are low lying or in hollows. I recommend tests be done particularly  along # 401, this is important. The Legislature must be mindful of the health of the people and when we have the documentation that traffic must be cut on # 401 we have the legal right to expropriate # 407. I would suggest that we offer to buy # 407  at the going rate, a fair offer. If not, we should go through the # 407 lease to find out  just what hanky panky Mike Harris and the PC Party machine were up to. I think it will look a lot like Ornge. And when we get to look at Metrolinx we will find the same result, insiders self dealing. And political payoffs. So we begin by reducing Toronto’s Gridlock by 25%. During that exercise we begin building 50 miles of Skyliner tracways. And we start the process of taking back # 407. Toronto is a great City being run into the ground by the greed of  right wing which amounts to no more tha 15% of the population. So Nietzsche. Rule by the elites. You know that small group of exceptional people who decided themselves that they were exceptional. The other 85% has to get its’ act together and take action. The votes of  each exceptional person count the same as our votes. Mike Harris and Conrad Black only think they are more important than the rest of us. This we have to make them understand. You owe that to your grandchildren to fight back against exceptionalism. For some time I have been doing research on carbon monoxide [ a killer ] and other polutants from the exhaust pipes of vehicles. This problem is being studied around the world but little us being done in North America. First of all the US oil cartel doesn’t like this kind of thing and like climate change spends tens of million to squelch such studies. And where do you think the tens of millions goes to. Right, the $ media which is paid to censor the news, spin the news and feature news full of lies. It would seem that the people who live within 500 ft of the south side of # 401 are at risk healthwise. Especially children. Those under 2 could end up with restricted lung capacity or asthma. Older folk can be affected by a steady diet of carbon monoxide. Hwy 401 is used by through truck traffic when it was always meant to be on # 407. Truckers won’t pay the tolls the bandits are charging. So # 407 is a highway that goes from nowhere to nowhere in the big picture but is used by the elites as a private expressway. Of course the important people can take the charge off their company taxes. WE GET SCREWED AGAIN. Harris made an under the table deal with the bandits for # 407. Let’s undo that deal [ expropriate it ]. Make it a free highway. And finish the thing to join up with with # 401 at Hwy # 35.  This whole # 407 caper is stomach turning. Harris leased our highway to the private sector so he could cover his ass. Now Mike’s folly is maiming our young and killing the elderly. Tim Hudak [ Mike Light ] wants to double down on the Harris misadventures. No thanks. Hudak has never had a job in his life. He is just a mouthpiece for the PC Party machine [ not my PC Party ]. Tim was around when I was working for Harris. I was not impressed then and I am not impressed now. In fact I am leaning to putting Mike Harris in jail along with devious Dalt McGuinty.

OIL AND NATURAL GAS / THE GREAT PIPELINE SWINDLE / WALL ST. GETS READY TO TAKE ANOTHER BITE / AND THE $ MEDIA CAN’T WAIT FOR ITS’ POUND OF FLESH  —   Ontarians have to take some of the responsibility for this Province’s ruined economy. Since 1985 we have moved away from the winning Governmental formula of the previous 42 years of the PCs [ Frost, Robarts and Davis ]. Ontarians thought the good time would roll on for ever and stopped minding the store. My PCs were taken over by the hard right wing in 1985 when we chose Frank Miller, Leader, he was a puppet and a disaster. Frank called an election too quickly and was gone in 7 months. I myself didn’t catch on to the right shift right away.  This opened the door to David Peterson, one of Ontario’s worst Premiers ever. Peterson was supported by Bob Rae for a short time until the public saw David as he was, a small minded / vindictive man. Peterson got the heave ho and Rae took the brass ring by default. Ontarians were sick of the Liberals  and my PCs. The NDP had no governing experience and took over just as a major recession hit. I have said before that there was not a single person in Provincial politics who could have handled well the economic slump. 1990 – 1996 was a period of financial nightmares made far worse by David Peterson’s bungling. A slow down was certainly on its’ way but Peterson supplied extra gasoline and matches to make the confligration even more intense. David, ” The Stupid ” , owes Ontarians an apology. Rae was defeated by my pal Mike Harris. I worked for him on the assumption that we would pick up where Bill Davis left off.  Wrong. The Fascists who now inhabited the PCs, under Harris dispensed with the PC grassroots, the strength of our Party. Rather, a PC party machine came into being and Mike lost touch with the voters. In 1999 Harris won with a much reduced majority and that should have been a red flag but it wasn’t. The PC back room boys / girls felt that the citizenry was so sick of the NDP and the Liberals that the right could get away with anything. In 2003 McGuinty came to office with what I though would be a strong grassroots. It is only through the events at the Federal level that I discovered that the Liberals  both in Ottawa and Queen’s Park had jettisoned their grassroots just like the Tories. So what we had up to the time of Kathleen Wynne’s election as Party Leader is the Liberals and the PCs being manipulated by political machines, little people [ as lady Black calls us ] involvement was ziltch. Without citizen imput we have had lousy Government for the last 15 years which has seen the Province go bankrupt. Some people have stopped voting which just plays into the hands of the Liberal / PC Party machine’s hands. Things can only get worse if YOU go AWOL. According to the plan, the Prov. Liberal machine would continue to hold power. Sandra Pupatello [ the Iron Lady ] was not going to recall the House and the Libs would carry on with their agenda of picking the bones of the Province clean. During the lull while OUR MPPs were in the wilderness, the Grits would find another way of thwarting democracy. Wynne’s election was a surprise to devious Dalt and and his machine. But the fireworks at the Legislature in the last couple of days confirms the Liberal insiders’ worst fears. They are still in the minority. And the hunt for scalps is back on. We may well see McGuinty / Bentley in jail.. Other than that little has changed. Both the Liberals and the PCs here are in bed with the US oil cartel. Devious Dalt has made big hidden payments to TransNotCanada pipe in terms of the gas plants and Bruce Power. TransNotCanada [ it is owned by Wall St. ] also pays Tim Hudak’s wife to act as a consultant. I’ll tell you what folks, if YOU don’t lift a finger over this, guess what. When  the PCs come back again, drop your pants, bend over and just smile if you can. Like with Herr Harper both Mike Harris and Dalt McGuinty welcomed the oil / nat. gas companies as well as the pipeline people. Talk about Alberta being oil landlocked poor Ontario is in the sights of the energy interests with nobody to protect us either. We have high gasoline and natural gas price that border on usuary. Under Canadian law it is a criminal act to charge immoral / unethical interest rates. It is only a small step to charging energy rates based on lies and price rigging. Why do we keep electing politicians who take bribes. Is Hudak [ now with a fat banks account ] really going to go after TransNotCanada???  When oil was first found in Alberta, Ontario was singled out by the Feds and forced to buy oil and gas from that Western Province. This at an inflated price. So Ontarians like me were forced to pay extra for our gasoline to put Albertans into the oil business. They had no MONEY, no OIL INFRASTRUCTURE, no ROAD SYSTEM and no MARKET FOR THEIR OIL. Most Ontarians felt like me. It was a small price to pay to be Canadian. Once the oil industry matured the Yanks took over and develped the market for oil in the USA.  Alberta gets a royalty of  about 8%.  Jobs were created and the money flowed in, no sweat. The only problem early on in Calgary / Edmonton was how to spend the money? Mind, putting all your eggs in one economic basket is a dangerous game. even if you are rolling in dough. But what goes up can come down. The Albertans are more right wing than the rest of Canada. This is understandable due to the influx of Republicans. I think at times the Americans in the Province think they have grabbed part of the West that eluded them in the War of 1812. It has been said many ways but here is Prime Minister Anthony Eden’s take on it in 1954, ” In peace and war action is determined by events not a fixed ideology “. He was speaking of Communism but this applies equally to the Fascists / right wing ideology. For Republicans from Calvin Coolidge to Ronald Reagan to George Bush Jr. to Herr Harper this in fact has been the fatal flaw. Everything that happened / happens was / is filtered by them through their Nietzsche inspired right wing ideas. It won’t work and has never worked. Look at the USA these day, destitute and ungovernable [ thanks to the right ]. And look where Canada is being taken by Harper, ruination awaits us too. In 1973 the US oil cartel precipitated a crisis by attempting to muscle the Arabs into lowering their oil prices. Countries in the middle east banded together [ OPEC ] and shut off the tap to the US and other select countries. The cartel blundered and caused great hardship to Americans but the oilies successfully avoided being held responsible with the help of the $ media. Just like the 2008 / 2009 crash. Wall St.  never accepted responsiblility and nobody on the Street has ever gone to jail. Again the perpetrators had the help of the $ media [ lots of money changed hands ]. During the early 1970s Alberta suffered the $ shorts but as time went along oil prices rose to ridiculous heights. Albertans got 8% of a much higher barrel price and for about 6years the party rocked. Then came the Iranian revolution [ 1979 ] which again shocked the petroleum world. Those involved, including the oil cartel / Alberta anticipated even higher prices for oil. Trudeau was concerned that in a crunch the US oil cartel would look after American demands first and Canada might be left up shit crick. The cartel was obligated to supply the US first under the Coolidge / Republican deal that granted them an illegal oil monopoly in the 1920s. Although this Country had / has vast oil supplies there was every indication we could be brought to our knee with this America First attitude. So Trudeau developed the National Energy Program that would impell our Yankee visitors to SHARE OUR WEALTH, with us that is. But Trudeau’s Program never had time to bite. Seeing the possible outcome of the fighting in Iran, notably adversely affecting the US economy the Saudis flooded the market with cheap oil. Russia with new found oil decided to join in, take Iran’s market and put even more oil on the world market. You can go on the net and see a graph of oil prices going way down. The cheaper oil was already battering the price even before Trudeau got into the act. The selfish US oil cartel driven by naked greed had made a mess of things all over again. As a result of the actions of the cartel, Albertans were hard hit financially. The Americans are past masters at shifting the responsibilities for problems onto someone else’s shoulders. The US cartel never takes blame ever for its’ mistakes and starting in 1981 the oilies began blaming Trudeau and the NEP. Something we still hear about, even to-day. To be true to the right wing t0-day every new journalist who wants to guarantee his / her pay cheque must include mention of the NEP at least 3 times in each piece. Tens of millions have been spent by the oilies on promoting this lie. How many times does Ezra Le Rant write / say NEP. He gets paid for every mention I am sure. The NEP gave the young wimp from Toronto [ Stevie Harper ], a phony cause to fight for. The cartel owned / owns the petrol press [ 1970 / 2000 ] [ now it owns all of the Canadian press ].  The true story of the economic downturn in Alberta in the 80s was /is never told. A wedge was driven between that Province and Eastern Canada by the oilies [ with the help of Manning, Harper and Conrad Black ], which remains to this day. The US oil cartel has again made a mess of things [ 2013 ] due to a lack of foresight. US demand for oil and nat. gas has dropped, we now have fracking and the world oil situation has changed dramatically [ there is a greater supply ]. The US cartel has fumbled the ball again and Alberta is expendable yet again. The Province has been cut adrift yet again. All the oilies want is their tar / cheap without environmental restraints.  Again blame has to be directed elsewhere and that elsewhere is Premier Redford. There hasn’t been a day since she was elected that the Premier hasn’t been attacked by the petrol media / Harper press. The oilies are spending big money on framing Redford.  The press’s covering for the cartel is there for everyone to see. The $ media is harvesting lots of nonsense oil ads [ at least $ 100,000 a pop ] which are meant to repay the media mogals for telling oilie lies. I especially like the one’s from CAPP, [ Can. Assoc. Petroleum Producers ]. They must be spending tens of millions buying up the media to brain wash YOU. Just like the Robo Calls.  That money would be far better spent on cleaning up the tar sands and tailing ponds. You remember, the tailing ponds that Joe Oliver drinks from. I saw Danielle Smith of the Wild Oil Party being interviewed on TV. As usual she sits there telling nothing but lies but that is understandable. Smith grew up under the wing of Tom Flanagan [ an American draft dodger ]. The US oil cartel pays her salary. So our very own Alison Redford is being Trudeaued. Exactly the same process in taking place as happened in the 1980s with the NEP. Albertan and Canadians are being lied to every day and the $ media is being well rewarded for fooling us. So now we come to the oil / nat gas swindle taking place in Ontario. In the NAFTA negotiations during which Mulroney gave away the Country, Western Canada was prohibited from sending OIL to the east. All of the oil in the West was earmarked for sale in the USA and gradually our refineries have been shut down by the cartel. Cheap oil goes out for which an 8% royalty is paid to Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. And expensive gasoline, diesel and petroleum products are shipped back into the West. I would suggest that the West actually gives its’ oil away for nothing. Harper gets big oil money under the table from the oilies but Elections Canada dozes on. This is a story the $ media will not touch. The Suzuki Foundation protecting the environment, now that is worth endless coverage. Lyin Steve taking cartel bribes, not a word. Ottawa gets taxes on the oil shipped to the US but THAT COST is actually being borne in fact by Westerners themselves. They are paying the cartel to take their oil away.  Harper is picking the pockets of his very own supporters. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Danielle Smith after the last election called Albertans stupid.  But forgive her. Flanagan has been saying such dumb things for years. Maybe Danielle is right, if they are actually giving away their oil?

*********************                                                                                                                                               *** *******************

The Gateway pipe is stalled. While Lyin Steve says the crude bitumen will go to Asia, that is a lie. Asia is up to its’ neck in oil and nat. gas. They don’t want our stuff. A couple of things must be understood. The US oil cartel can’t EXPORT OIL FROM AMERICA AND THERE IS NOW A GLUT. It’s a bitch, way too much oil and the cartel can’t peddle it. Crude bitumen / DilBit / tar slurry is not legally oil so it can be refined in the USA and exported. In the industry it is called mineral slurry  [  a mined mineral concentrate thinned to allow it to be transported by pipe to a processing plant ]. Such a slurry it is NOT TAXED.  The cartel and the pipe line companies have conspired to use their myriad of REFINED OIL PIPE LINES TO CARRY TAR SLURRY. In the mining industry a special hi strength plastic is used to transport mineral slurry because steel pipe won’t stand up to the grit. That is why DilBit spills now outnumber oil spills 4 to one. When lighter fluid is added the tar slurry it produces an explosive / toxic gas due to the overheating of the steel pipe. The friction comes from scouring by the quartz sand in the bitumen. It thus constitutes a hazardous material and should fall under special rules. But the US oil cartel pays politicians in the US and Canada so much money they look the other way. The $ media gets paid to look the other way too. Only when people get killed will this matter be addressed. Joe Oliver, Minister is supposed to look after the interests of Canadians. Instead, whenever the oilies show up in Ottawa our Joe waves the white flag and learns to tell new lies. In terms of the Gateway is really intended to take tar slurry to the heavy refineries in California. The 50 year old Morgan  Kinder oil line, recently purchased,  is already transporting tar slurry to California through Burnaby BC.  A  M – K spill of tar recently occurred in a residential area and ran into  Burrard Inlet. The Company claimed that it was oil that spilled, another lie. The national $ media did not cover this spill, they were paid not to. If there is news on a spill the $ media always says oil or crude , said to mislead YOU. Officially there is oil [ refined in some way ], there is crude oil [ it goes through an upgrader to remove all impurities and is the raw stock used to make petroleum products, it can be safely put through a steel pipe. ] and then there is crude bitumen [  tar in its’ natural state, too thick to force through a pipe line without mixing it with lighter fluid ] [ this is called diluted bitumen, DilBit ]. DilBit IS NOT OIL. Oil pipeline are supposed to run at a temperature of about 75 deg F. DilBit being forced through a steel pipe runs at 150 deg F and then the mixture gets hotter as it travels further. Weak welds, the sandpapering of the interior of steel pipelines, restrictions [ bends / elbows ] and extra high pressure are pipe killers. So the Gateway tar will go to heavy refineries in California but Herr Harper and Joe Oliver won’t tell you that, neither will the $ media. We now come to Keystone XL. The last thing it does is excel. The same story applies here. It is all double talk without saying what is acually to be transported through the pipes. Since tar slurry is not considered oil there is no tax. Oil transmission is taxable. DilBit is 4 times more likely to spill and is ten times more costly to clean up. Since no tax is collected US / Can. governments do not have the funding to deal with DilBit spills. So our peoples are being sold a bill of goods by the $ media who get paid to lie and print oilie propaganda. The Keystone will travel from Alberta to Port Arthur Texas [ a tax free port ]. That means the US and Can. collect no taxes on the transportion of the tar slurry and that America get no taxes from Port Arthur. TranNotCanada builds pipe lines using limited partnerships and capped insurance. If there is a big spill the Company can just walk away from it. The Republicans keep telling their Country men / women how beneficial the Keystone will be. Not. Just more lies. As well the output of Port Arthur will be exported to the world market. Not a single gallon of gasoline will make it to an American service station. Keystone will provide at most 4000 temporary jobs. Not the tens of thousands of jobs Joe Oliver claims. Kinder Morgan, Gateway and Keystone pipe here and in the USA will be hidden limited partnerships and limited liability. Insurance companies are getting leary of DilBit and coverage is being capped. If there is another spill of DilBit like Kalamazoo / Enbridge the local community will have foot the bill for clean up. The Republicans in the US and Harper’s Fascists back limiting spill liability for firms. Harper is dragging his feet on tough enviromental regulations to facilitate a quick exit of the US oil cartel if necessary. Something that is coming. The Alberta is as good as out of the oil / nat. gas business. The Province will be left to clean up the toxic mess. But Danielle Smith of the Wild Oil Party will somehow find a way to blame Premier Reford for that too. In fact Redford is being blamed for high gasoline prices. So tar slurry is what the heavy refineries in California and Texas need — very— badly. You see these heavy refineries were built to refine cheap CRUDE OIL from Venezuela. The US oil cartel was stealing their resources as the cartel is now doing in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. There was a revolution in Venezuela and the Yanks were kicked out. The property of the US oil cartel was confiscated. The heavy refineries [ Texas / California ] were left sitting there with no product to refine. Someone came up with the idea of DilBit but the oilies didn’t tell the authorities what they were doing. Enbridge and TransNotCanada decided to start pumping DilBit though refined oil pipelines and we are gradually finding out the folly of such a dishonest move. It is not surprising. The aim of Wall St. and most big American businesses is to cheat, lie and steal. The environmental effects of DilBit and sand therein have never been studied. The cartel delays, delays, delays. Regulators in the US and Can. delay, delay, delay. The $ media is paid to lie, lie, lie. Now all the cartel wants is cheap tar slurry with no strings attached to make up for the lack of Venezuela crude oil. The Kinder Morgan pipe is likely to blow again any day. It is a 50 year old pipe line which will soon seccumb to the Quart sand in the tar. I hope it doesn’t happen in Vancouver harbour. If K M has another DilBit spill their application to twin the line is toast. The Gateway will probably never be built. The Keystone is more iffy. Even if Obama approves the line it will be tied up in the Courts for years. Can the heavy refineries in Texas and California hang on for another couple of years. I think not. The world oil business is changing on the fly. With Hugo Chavez now gone crude oil from Venezuela may begin to flow again. Then there would be no need for Girling’s Keystone XL. That would be a real joke on TransNot Canada investors and Albertans. What was fiction a month ago is now fact. I don’t think the US oil cartel has the smart people to get out of this bind. They are milk cart horses CEOs, used to doing the same thing day after day. Such CEOs find it difficult to change. Mainly because they are all right wing. The righties believe like George Bush Jr. and Steve Harper that one can create his own reality. However there is a real world out here where real problems have to be solved. Dwelling in La La Land ain’t the solution. Now we come to the present.

The scene.  Alberta. A Province of Canada whose recent history has been fabricated by the US oil cartel. It has oil, bitumen and natural gas in abundance. For 40 years there has aways been someone who came along to buy these commodities [ USA ]. Albertans were paid about 8% for the resourses, plenty of  jobs were created and economic activity created lots of spinoffs. But in the end the US oil cartel netted 90% of the value of what was taken out of the ground. In the last 6 years Alberta has lost $ 400 billion.  The Albertans chose to live a life where that very life was in someone elses hands and where that someone else profited most. Dependent entirely on the good will of that someone else [ the US oil cartel ]. Said cartel doesn’t have a good world track record when it comes to playing fair. During the OPEC / Iran revolution the cartel always maintained its’ profitability even if partners and associates had to be thrown under the bus. In 1981 the cartel threw Alberta under the bus and blamed Trudeau for the mishap. It cost the oilies a ton of money to buy up the $ media at that time to fool the public and blame the NEP for all ills.  But it was cheaper than paying Albertans what was owed to them. People in the Province fell for the oilie line.  Interestingly during the 1981 downturn in Alberta, Texas went through the exact same financial wringer, banks went broke, there were foreclosures, jobs were lost and businesses were closed. You can look at this one of two ways. Either Trudeau was so powerful he could alter the economy of  Texas with his NEP. Or Trudeau had no affect on Texas or Alberta with his NEP.  The latter is true. But when someone owns the press, as Herr Harper does now all kinds of silly ideas can be put into people’s heads. alberta would have been better off under Trudeau’s NEP. Tom Flanagan’s precipitous fall in recent days only occurred because he should not have been in such an exalted position. The Harper press has banished all counter opinion on orders of the PMO. Therefore those on the right now win every race. A gold medal won under such circumstances is no win at all. Flanagan was held aloft not by quality but by oil money. Since the takeover of Alberta by the cartel I don’t think there was any way the Province could have broken its’ oil chains. The people in there believed the oilie NEP myth and firewalled themselves off from the rest of Canada in their minds.  Now with the oil / nat. gas business going south. Albertans are being deserted by the US oil cartel. The question is, who will they turn to now??? Those Eastern bastards who gave them the first stake to get into the oil business? Like the Germans under Hitler, the people in Alberta had jobs, a roof, 3 squares, heat in the winter / cool in the summer, low taxes, pensions and health care. The only thing they didn’t have was freedom.  Alberta now has complete freedom but no business.  Herr Harper / Danielle Smith are in denial and will not acknowlege the market destruction. The oil / nat. gas business has been turned on its’ ear because of fracking. In typical Yankee style there was an unrestricted dash to get into fracking [ oil / nat. gas ]. Americans don’t like our supply management systems but I much prefer our systems to their’s. The everyone for himself provides little comfort for the general population. Really the fracking boom is all about sellling stock to suckers, egged on by the thought of an EXXON buyout of  their company.  There is a glut of nat. gas stateside and nobody can make any money extracting it.  To add to the pain there is now a glut of oil and the bad 1981 dream is reoccurring. But with a difference. Nat. gas can be retrieved and used immediatley. Oil, no matter where it comes from has to be refined [ 2 or 3 stages ] to be used. It is the guys with the refineries who control the game to-day, the US oil cartel. They have closed most of Canada’s refineries in anticipation of falling demand for oil. By taking away our refineries they have left this Country naked and vulnerable. We can’t take the economic advantage our oil, never mind no market. We can’t even turn OUR oil into useful products for OUR OWN use. Talk about patsies?  About 5 years ago Congress gave the cartel in excess of $ 7 billion to aid in building new refineries to cut the price, ho ho. The oilies took the jack, pocketed it and kept on doing what they are best at, screwing North American drivers with the help of politicians [ like Harper / McGuinty ] on the take. And the $ media is ever there to share in the spoils. Being paid to distribute false and misleading copy. Did you know that the Globe and Oil will orchestrate a campaign of writing corporate friendly NEWS for $ 250,000 a pop. So the news Phil Crawley publishes goes through the board room first. In the US now there are many oil independents who are fracking tight oil. This is real oil, not crude bitumen. The oil cartel is buying real oil on the cheap as well as some DilBit for peanuts from Alberta. The cartel can control the supply of gasoline and charge what they want. This is why they are hoarding crude oil. They can store a ton of it, because it is cheap to store in Cushing, Oaklahoma, out in the boonies. Buy low by rigging the game, then sell high. The stuff of scoundrels. In fact an analyst is Chicago was bragging the other day about cartel refinery profits which border on usuary. But if you have a monopoly like the cartel why not flaunt it. The oilies think they are untouchable. And they are if Canadians continue to act like rag dolls under Herr Harper’s directives. But if we can muster a little back bone and show a little spunk we can beat these snakes at their own game. With Morgan Kinder, Gateway and Keystone projects in limbo there is a cry to go east, a chorus that is gaining in strength each day. The siren’s song is appealing. Remember, in the West, among companies it is now every man for himself in the oil / nat. gas business. Each company is trying to find a way to survive at someone else’s expense. This stampede towards the exits is typical of the Yankee boom / bust cycles. Screw the governments, the people,  competitors and the environment. None of these oil / pipe line people can be believed. Enbridge was headed by Pat Daniel, now Al Monaco has taken his place CEO. They are both liars. The TransNotCanada CEO is Russ Girling, another liar. Enbridge wants to bring Alberta crude bitumen down to Sarnia and ship it to Quebec and then on to the US Atlantic coast. Cities like Toronto and Montreal are right to be concerned about sand holing a pipe or 3. Enbridge owns a 40 year old pipeline [ No 9 ] here which connects to the US pipe system in the midwest. Originally oil came out of Alberta, crossed into the US, through Chicago, made its’ way to Sarnia, then into Ontario and on the Montreal [  That’s when I had to buy expensive gasoline, forced by the Feds to support Alberta ].  As gasoline use went up, more and more Alberta oil was consumed in the mid west and the supply of gasoline to Eastern Canada began coming from offshore. The US oil cartel DECIDED that Easten Canada should be served with imported oil from God knows where. But the price was stable.  But lately we here have been subjected to volatile world oil prices even though as a Country we have enough oil to satisfy our own needs. The cartel has been closing refineries in Canada. In my view this is to take away the opportunity for this Country to become self sufficient, we have become a forever punching bag. Now fracking in the USA has changed the game for oil and nat. gas. There is an excess of natural gas stateside due to fracking and this excess has killed the price. Further drilling is no longer profitable. The Yanks don’t want nat. gas from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and particularly Alberta. Premier Redford’s Province used to get 60% of its’ royalties from nat. gas, now that amount has dropped to 10%. The Wild Oil Party says this is Redford’s fault. The oil story is the same. Fracking has caused a glut of oil in the midwest, nobody is buying it. Alberta’s oil and crude bitumen is not really needed so Alberta’s royalty take is going down even faster. According to Danielle Smith, this too is Alison’s fault. All of the pipe lines in the 3 Western Provinces now go in the wrong direction, mainly to Cushing, Oklahoma. Oil stored there amounted to 15 mil barrels in 2008.  Jan. 2013 that number has gone up to 52 mil barrels and it will be 60 mil barrels by the end of  2013. Various countries around the world have cut back oil production, there is just too much of the stuff around no matter what Harper and Oliver say. Oil is dirt cheap but gasoline is through the roof. This because the oil cartel controls the refineries. The glut of oil grows and Alberta’s prospects get darker and darker. In term of oil quality the tar sands crude bitumen is way down the list. Lighter oil now in abundance. It can be refined more cheaply and more cleanly. So Enbridge is selling the reversal of No – 9 as a proposal that will get Alberta crude bitument to market. They say, crude bit would be mixed with lighter fluid and loaded in the tar sands by Enbridge. It would be transported across the border, passing south of Chicago to Sarnia [ refineries ]. Aboard, some crude bit would cross Ontario to Montreal [ refineries ], on down to the Atlanic in the US.  Enbridge is seeking Fed. Government approval to reverse No – 9 to accomplish this noble deed. My take. Being so patriotic will win Enbridge points among the politicians, plus a little palm greasing.  This may well get N0 – 9 reversed. Say crude bitumen does get loaded in Alberta and it goes all the way to the Atlantic. It will be transported free of tax because it is not oil. Therefore Enbridge cheats Canadians / Americans out of taxes. The tar slurry mixed with lighter fluid will be lethal [ a spill could cause environmental damage to the ground and water ] [ the interior gas is poisonous ] [ and tar burns like crazy ]. But there are other posibilities. Once the shipping of crude bitumen from Alberta  is established Enbridge could cut back and add in some of that illegal US light oil from the glut without reporting its’ export to the US Government. Pipe line companies don’t have to report what they a shipping. The US Government is turning a blind eye to the transportation of crude bitumen through a refined oil pipe line system. The public will learn about this when there is a big spill and loss of life. By then the politicians will have plenty money squirrelled away to enjoy in their gated communities. Being approved under the table as a crude bitumen line no taxes will be paid on the shipments of light oil. Canadian refineries would be buying a combination of oil grades and avoid the extra cost of processing the crude bitumen. Oil firms can’t export oil from the US proper. It is against the law. This No – 9 scheme get around this law is ingenious. So how much crude bitumen would actually be shipped out of Alberta is questionable. I myself prefer not to be a feather floating around on a pond at the whim of the wind. So Enbridge’s proposal on No – 9, which is being promoted by Joe Oliver is a whole lot of take and little if any give. In terms of TransNotCanada, they are up to bringing crude bit down east just like Enbridge. T C has the old natural gas pipe line that sparked the Great Pipe Line debate and saw Diefenbaker come to power in 1956. The volume of nat. gas shipped on the Mainline to the east from Alberta has been dropping of late and the pipe is now less than 50% full. The is a reason and it is not Alberta friendly. TransNotCanada wanted to increase the transportion costs of Nat. gas to its’ remaining customer to maintain their profit margin. Nice work if you can get it. Russ Girling, CEO of T C,  backed by a $ media blackout hasn’t told us why business is down. T C is bring in cheap fracked nat. gas from Michigan into Ontario, selling it at Alberta prices and cutting the throats of Premier Redford and that Province’s natural gas companies. And this ploy is cutting the throats of Ontarians who are paying big money for cheap American nat. gas.  Now Girling has come up with a new scheme. Russ like Enbridge wants to turn his nat. gas Mainline into an oil line and ship crude bitument from Alberta to the east. Gee whiz, another saviour rides to Canada’s rescue. These pipeliners are being so good to us. I just could not get my head around this TransNotCanada proposal. Why create a system to ship crude bit out of Alberta when the Keystone XL is awaiting approval, it makes no sense. I kept digging and found the answer. The Mainline has a spur that goes south of the border at Winnipeg. Like the skunk said when the wind changed, it all comes back to me now. Girling is going to play the same game as Al Monaco at Enbridge. Make a big deal out of shipping Alberta crude bit to the east. Pump in light oil from the glut south of the border and ship it east. There will be no taxes and T C will be able to illegally export American oil out of the Country without Washington being any the wiser. In terms of natural gas Ontario and Quebec are paying Alberta prices for cheap fracked nat. gas out of Michigan and Pennsylvania. So Ontario is being ripped off with high gasoline prices when oil is dirt cheap. The reason is both McGuinty and Hudak have dealings with TransNot Canada. They are both profiting from keeping us in servitude. We are paying high prices for nat. gas because the Ontario Energy Board is full of McGuinty appointees and is asleep at the switch or on the take too. I am wondering how much the Board gets paid by Trans Not Canada to remain  asleep? It is time that the Legislature created a Standing Committee on oil, gasoline and natural gas pricing and security of supply. Canada has no reserves of either oil / nat. gas anywhere. With the volitile world energy situation any interruption could bring Ontario / Canada to its’ knees. Why do we need governments? We can screw things up like this all on our own and do it much cheaper.  Another consideration is the Chinese hacking into Canadian computer systems, pipe lines, electrical systems, water systems and transit. Energy is under Provincial jurisdiction. Harper is not minding the store. If we don’t begin to control our own future when do we do that? After the house gets cold, the service stations are closed, the taps run dry and the subways aren’t operating?  These are the kinds of things that the Legislature should be dealing with. The oilies are closing service stations in rural Ontario because they can’t make enough money. Who needs them. We elect MPPs to do this kind of job, not just sit back mum and take bribes. We don’t need an election in Ontario. The gas plant scandal can be passed off to a committee of regular citizens to study. It will not cost $ 30 million as Kathleen Wynne has said. She is toying with us as McGuinty did. Progress toward finding answers to devious Dalt’s scandal will allow the MPPs to get on with more serious business like Gridlock, Public Transit and high priced energy. Strangely, the voters at this time have increased powers, not seen in 15 years. You yourself can determine whether the major issues get tackled or fwe just continue to playing political games like Hudak is proposing. As I keep saying I am a PC going back to 1960. I abandon Mike Harris during his second mandate. He was such a dishonest man. Harris is now in hiding most of the time due to the fact that he is reviled by most Ontarians. And Hudak is proposing to bring back all of Mike discredited programs. Poor Tim has gone loonie.  McGuinty is going to be in the same boat as Harris, reviled. And as we see Enbridge and TransNotCanada are once again up to their old tricks. Supported by the $ media. Especially the Globe and Oil. It is interesting seeing the outcome of a new run-of-the-river hydro system being installed in BC. This is the same system used at Niagara Falls which was built on both sides of the border more than 100 years ago. The turbines are still humming away producing KW at a cost of 1.5 cents per. Ontarians now pay 20 cents per. You know we are so stupid. Nobody pays $ 200 for $ 15 hotdogs. Ontario has about 1000 run-of-the-river sites [ installed or potential ]. But we build expensive natural gas plants in the wrong places and enrich Enbridge and TransNotCanada. I get approval BC Hydro had to agree to about 30 environmental requirements. A couple involve a river monitoring system 24/7 and the constant output of the plant. Such information must be on a web site for the people of BC to see. Compare this thorough scrutiny to that which the tar sands is subjected. With the oilies it is hands off and let her rip. [ crude bitumen in not legally oil no matter what the US oil cartel and Joe Oliver say ].

HYBRIDS / HYDROGEN VEHICLES /ELECTRIC CARS   —  I  have been on this file for at least 6 years in a serious way. I trained as a aeroplane mechanic, branched out into trucks /cars, tractors [ gas / diesel ] and golf carts [ some electric ]. I became convinced some years ago that hydrogen is the fuel of the future. I went way beyond reading newspapers and magazines. I turned to the library and the inter-library-loan-service. I had access to every book in Canada [ almost ].  Hydrogen became big news back then, remember Ballard Fuel Cells? There was a lot of hype to sell stock in hydrogen startups. There were some good stories and write ups, some foreign automoble companies responded with test vehicles. The US oil cartel and the Big Three took notice. Then I became aware of  articles with a certain sameness written by auto writers in the Wheels Sections of the papers. Every time there was a hydrogen news splash separate negative pieces would appear. Not one of them was really critical of hydrogen but each and every one of these articles created doubts and spread misinformation. Each piece began by creating a big buildup for hydrogen and all it could do then the punching of holes would begin in the last two paragraphs. I have been writing for publications for years and have seen this approach to journalism before. Write as if you are going in one direction while you are actually going 180 degrees opposite It is thoroughly  dishonest. Martin Regg Cohn of the Star is at present a practitioner of this kind of double cross. Martin came to the Paper before the last Provincial election to fudge for Dalt McGuinty. His year and a half wasn’t very successful though. Devious D. has quit and is now in hiding while the process that will put him in jail grinds on. I had / have no use for McGuinty but did read many of Cohn’s Liberal booster columns just to sample his ability to say one thing and mean the other. In terms of the attack on hydrogen vehicles, it was relentless and must have cost the Big Three / Big Oil a fortune. It worked, people were fooled again. This campaign had its’ intended effect and interest in hydrogen cars has subsided. One way I could tell that an auto writer was getting an oilie cheque was the mention of the Hindenberg and how the  hydrogen blew up. Hydrogen in a car would be just as dangerous they would say. But repeat this over and over in all the papers at the same time had the desired affect as Goebbels said. Tell a lie often enough and the lie becomes the truth. Harper finds this approach very successful.  Trudeau’s NEP is another lie which has been hammered home hundreds of time by the oil cartel journoshills. A lot of people believe that one too. Hydrogen cars were pounded into the ground then the assault on climate change took over. Thousand of forked tongue writer were employed by the cartel to be deniers, that campaign continues to this day. Peter Foster [ who doesn’t know what he is talking about ], Lawrence Solomon and Lorrie Goldstein are good examples of people who are paid to deny Global Warming. The cartel has spent ten of millions knocking the climate crisis. All of the large papers in Canada now are Harper / oil cartel boosters, those attack / oilie ads are very lucrative. They are habit forming and the $ media can’t live without such tainted money. The climate change bashing has gone on so long, little wonder some of the population are having doubts. There is no counter comment, the $ media won’t broadcast / print it.  This is the very result the cartel wanted. They pay to plant seeds of doubt in people’s minds. The deniers are now claiming victory. Since nothing on Global Warming is in the news these days other than what the deniers are saying the cartel is claiming the threat has come to an end. Since the $ media now serves Herr Harper and the oil cartel exclusively it is little wonder that the climate isn’t in the news. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa. But the $ media, particularly the press is not popular. Only 17% of viewers / readers believe what they see / hear. On the surface the concern about Global Warming has been doused according to the press, of the press, by the press, for the press. But the truth is that among the citizenry concern over the climate crisis is growing and the fear is deeply imbedded in the young. A new crop of young believers moves into the ranks each year. It is a battle Peter Foster, Paul Godfrey and the National American Post can’t win. Now a new target has appeared in the auto sections, the electric car. Many articles are being written by forked tongue reporters. The same  approach is being taken as with hydrogen itself, hyrogen vehicles and climate change. Write a glowing report and then at the end punch the boat full of holes. In terms of these pieces I always read the last paragraph first. All the negatives are piled up at the end. With hydrogen cars the scare phrase was the, ” Hindenberg “. With electric cars it is, ” range anxiety “. The auto writers are now forcasting the death of the electric car, something the oilies would love to see. In the last few weeks an attack on hybrids has started by David Booth of the Post and Peter Gorrie of the Star and the like. Both work for GM, the VOLT is mentioned by them way too often, it is a lousy hybrid [ the VOLT IS NOT AN ELECTRIC CAR / IT IS JUST GM TELLING MORE LIES ].  The knock on hybrids is that the mileage claims are falsified. Of course if a hybrid is driven on # 401 all the time the electrical drive system will not be engaged. I have most of the articles written by Dave and Peter over the years and they are full of lies. What else in new in papers these days? Lies of course, who would have thunk it?  Here is my pitch. With the constant attacks on hydrogen, hydrogen vehicles, climate change, electric cars and hybrids the US oil cartel hopes to hold back the hands of time. There is much grumbling by the politicians, movers and takers that there is little if any innovation in North America. That is absolutely true because they themselves spend so much money killing off new ideas. The rich and powerful are deathly afraid of change.  Allowing new ideas to flourish could sweep them away in an instant and it should. It is a terrible thing to look upon a withered United States brought low by the small Cult of Nietzsche [ Republican Sociopaths ]. Canada is now being dragged down by a member of that Cult, Lyin Steve. Whether in New York, LA or Toronto the story is the same. The $ media is being paid to maintain the status quo. Politicians like Harper, McGuinty and Hudak have been bought off. But in this bleak and dark time I see opportunity. Governments across North America have and are responding to the wealthiest private concerns by allowing them first dibs on the people’s holdings. The politicians are taking money in return for delivering communities over into slavery. The tools to combat Global Warming will finally be assembled but not here in North America. Hydrogen will come to the fore, but not here. Hydrogen vehicles will be perfected but not here. Same goes for electric cars and hybrid but not in North America. Here is the light at the end of the tunnel. Ontario has critical mass [ 13,000,000 population / 2012  ]. The population of Denmark is only 5,5000,000 and yet that Country has developed a huge wind turbine business and other technical breakthroughs. These activities are supported by the Danish Government. Governments can go where private enterprise will not. Governments can prime the pumps. We can do the same. Washington funded the super highway system, the development of the 1st US jet liner [ Boeing 707 ].  The US military / space program funded the silicon chip. The US gov. funded the computer, the internet and the GPS system. And the list goes on. I am a PC, businessman and free enterpriser. In some areas of commerce it takes government money and muscle to do the pioneering work because private enterprise won’t. Did you know that Vancouver’s elevated, electric transit system [ Sky Train ] was Bill Davis’ doing. The first application of this Queen’s Park initiative was the Scarborough RT line going from the end of the Bloor subway line to the Scarborough Town Centre. This was a daring technolgy which the TTC thoroughly mishandled. The Province should have taken over the project and installed the system. Davis’ Intermediate Capacity Transit System [ ICTS ] had legs  and the proof lies resides in Vancouver.  Bombardier finally ended up with this technology and sells trains all over the world.  And Company builts trains all over the world, only not here. David Peterson, a man without an ounce of vision sold off  ICTS at a fire sale price. The PC Government [ Frost, Robarts and Davis ] was in place for 42 years. Why you might ask? The PCs [ I was there ] had a strong grassroots riding association system. And Queen’s Park was deeply involved in promoting new ideas and innovation. Technological breakthroughs were a common occurance. The PCs were always priming the pump. It wasn’t all luck that Ontario was the  economic engine of Canada. This activity came about under the wing of the Industry & Trade Ministry at Queen’s Park. There were a lot of ideas in the pipe when Frank Miller was defeated. David Peterson became Preem and abolished the whole Ministry. Many businesses involved with  Davis programs were forced into bankruptcy. Peterson feared a steady stream of  Tory business successes would keep popping up to embarass him so he resorted to a scorched earth policy. It would be impossible to estimate the cost to Ontarians of this vindictive action by Peterson, pure nasty politics. This and other failings saw Peterson turfed out in 3 years. Thank God for small mercies. I have noticed in the last few weeks a resurgence of interest in hydrogen. Nobody mentions hyrogen in North America. The oilie journoshills succeeded in hammering hydrogen into the ground and scaring the shit out of 375 million people in North America. It show the power of the evil $ media. No, the interest in hydrogen is blossoming in Europe. Hydrogen is actually safer than gasoline. If hydrogen escapes it instantly goes skyward. When gas leaks it pools, turns to a vapour and if ignited will form a fireball which could be the size of a house. Many people using gas to start a bonfire have not survived to try it again. Well it would seem that the US oil cartel is up to its’ usual tricks. Interest in hydrogen must be stamped out immediately and the cartel is on the march with pocketbook in hand. A documentary about the Hindenburg has been made by a university group in England which claims to have discovered the cause. The doc will appear on Britain’s TV Channel 4 and boy are they being made fools of. It is full of nonsense and misinformation. It connects the Hindenburg to hydrogen once again. I have every clipping of hydrogen articles that appeared in the local papers for at least the last 6 years. Other than industrial / academic  pieces each one contains a warning about the Hindenburg. Sometimes the same basic copy would appear in various papers in the same week. Obviously on orders from the US oil cartel. The whole idea is to scare the public off hydrogen as an alternative fuel. The cartel’s anti  hydrogen campaign has worked in North America and now the oilies want to scare Europeans. The cause of the Hindenburg crash was solve a number of years ago. The only problem was that the $ media was making too much oil  money scaring the beejeebers out of people to tell the truth. I wonder how much the English college group got from the oilies to produce this propaganda documentary?  It really a scandal that advances in society which will create a more prosperous, more affordable, cleaner, more convenient world can be snuffed out by the US oil cartel money. And it is sad to see so many people prostitute themselves if furthering the goals of the evil oil cartel. Oh yes, the Hindenburg. It was covered with fabric afixed to 20 ft square frames. The fabric was doped using nitrocellulose lacquer containing aluminum powder. This powder is a light blanket and reflects the sunlight. It stops the fabric from rotting. Nitrocellulose is related to gun powder. The dope is explosive and aeroplanes covered with fabric [ cotton / linen ] used to be called flying coffins during WW 1. Any kind of spark could set them off. If you fly airlines these days you are familiar with the short lengths of cord that trail from the trailing edges of the wings and tailplanes. These cord dissipate static electricity. The type of shock you get walking across a rug and touching a light switch. All aircraft have their parts bonded [ connected by wires or metal straps ]. Then any static electricity can be dumped via the trailing cords. This especially during thunderstorms. On the Hindenburg the large fabric panels were not bonded together. Lightning struck the upper tail and one of the fabric panels caught fire. It was all downhill from there. Nitrocellulose burns like crazy. Aluminum powder burns like crazy. Together they burn even crazier. Once the fire started is quickly travelled across the skin. Newsreel  pictures show one panel after another catching fire. Once the outside cover burned through the hydrogen gas bags went up too. Hitler claimed the ship was sabotaged by a bomb. And the US was not able to carry out a complete investigation. When hydrogen vehicles began to be touted the US oil cartel around 2000 they came up with a slick campaign, ” remember the Hindenburg ” . We got a steady diet of this myth, over and over and over again. Hydrogen vehicles went into the dumpster. Next climate change got dumped. Electric cars are in the process of being dumped by the cartel and now there is an attack on hybrids. Any automobile that cuts into the sale of gasoline is on the cartel hit list and its’ army of 5th rate journalists.  And the $ media is never far behind, eagerly awaiting the arrival of an oilie cheque. Oh yes, Canada’s so called Trudeau NEP got the same treatment. Tens of millions of dollars given to ther petro press to tell lies. Right now Premier Redford is under attack by the US oil cartel. This has been happening almost every day since she was elected by democratic means. Two days ago Redford was blamed for the high price of gasoline. The cartel is running of of things to hang on the Preem. There is one happening the cartel has yet to use. Premier Redford could be blamed for the black plague. Keep an eye for it. American campaigns to smear others and rewrite history goes back to the Revolutionary War. The Boston Massacre, the Alamo and Custer’s Last stand are myths which bear little resemblence to the actual facts. George Bush Jr. said it all. ” We are an empire now and we can create our own reality “. And the Yanks do just that. That is why the Americans are in such trouble. Living in La La Land doesn’t equip one to maneuver through real life. Canadians should be made aware that Lyin Steve is escorting us to La La Land too.

We can reclaim the Davis approach by having the Government provide the foundation for all of these new technologies which are nowhere present in North America. Queen’s Park could install the next generation of elevated, electric rapid transit in Toronto. This system could eventually replace the GO rail cars. The new Ontario Hydro [  a rejoining of the various elements of the old Ontario Hydro that were pulled apart by Mike harris for quick sale ]. Hydro One would become the host of all the bits. The new Ontario Hydro would do pioneering work with the hydrogen infrastructure. The  nOH would take over the management of oil, gasoline, diesel and natural gas in Ontario. Expropriations might be neccesary. GM built a new research centre east of Oshawa with the help of Ontario taxpayers. GM never fulfilled its’ promise to design a hydrogen car. Just another of this Corporation’s lies and broken promises. I met with officials of the CAW about 4 years ago when the truck plant was closed. I urged the Union to push for the manufacture of hydrogen cars / pickups in the abandon plant and make use of the research centre. I got no meaningful response. If  Ontario provides the environment for hydrogen vehicles and electric cars / hybrids. I think we could attract a Company like Nissan to build such vehicles in Oshawa and but it would be important to protect the Company against constant attack from the US oil cartel and the $ media. If we got involved with such a venture all information and news about car design and manufacturing would be on the net and broadcast through TVO after a management shakeup, ousting all of the McGuinty poodles from Channel 2. Ontario would be the portal through which all the best technologies of the world could be studied and adapted for use here. And exported to all of North America.  Canada has a population of 34 million and the USA 340 million. We would have a whole slew of advanced technologies and systems tailor made for North America. This is what the Legislature should be zeroing in on. Not Hudak’s ravings. Ontario could once again become the economic engine of the Country. All it will take is a shoulder to the wheel and some Queen’s Park pump priming. We did it before, we can do it again. It is impossible to estimate what could be accomplished if Ontarians were inspired.

FINIS   —   I fear that the Ont. House will now be turned into a zoo over past Liberal indisgressions. But this should not be allowed to deflect the MPPs from their tasks at hand. There is a lot of work to do and the quicker it is gotten to the better. The Ornge / Mazza affair should be in the hands of the police. The gas plant fiasco should be placed in the hands of a citizen’s committee to sort through. Having MPPs looking into financial skullduggery which involves both the Liberal and PC Party machines taking money under the table will not take us to a place of truth. Premier Wynne understandably doesn’t want a Judge and expensive lawyers [ $ 400 an hour ] in suits delving into the gas plant affair. Such an inquiry would be totally independent [ beyond Liberal control ], cost a bundle and hang the Liberals out to dry if the truth is revealed. Such an inquiry would take forever and in the end many citizens would have no confidence in the outcome. The so called elites investigating the so called elites. But if a citizen’s committee was struck it could do quick work, at an affordable price and the results would be acceptable  to most. Plus these proceedings under citizen control would take the affair out of the Legislature and allow the important business of the people to be addressed. All it will take to advance on this basis is 55 MPPs [ any stripe ] who are prepared to put the public interests above partisan politics. I can see some Liberals and PC MPPs joining with the NDP to set up a citizen’s inquiry into the gas plants. This would NOT trigger an election. There is almost 3 years left on this minority’s mandate. Ontarians have told the 3 parties, work together. Polls show if an election was held to-day, it would be a 3 way split. What is the point? Some in the legislature are no listening to that message, especially Hudak. I have listed in the Report some of my concerns and included fixes. I am sure there are others whose thoughts have been ignored also. I think it would be helpful to test this new minority approach of working together by seizing on one outstanding matter. The first chance to try its’ wings, so to speak.  This would give MPPs the opportunity to work together in an environment where partisan politics has no place. I would suggest Gridlock in Toronto as the target for tonight. Kathleen Wynne has taken ownership of Gridlock and public transport in Toronto. I think that is a great thing. Queen’s Park owes the City one. Mike Harris arranged the new Toronto in such a way as to give it a dysfunctional Council. It doesn’t have the tools to do the Gridlock / transit job. There has always been the fear at Queen’s Park that the City would become rich and powerful.  And  become the tail that wags the Ontario dog.  There have been efforts over the years  for the Legislature  to ensure that Toronto remains a poor cousin, this forever.  Harris also downloaded services onto the City along with other municipalities in order to cover the cost of  HIS HIDDEN $ 3.5 billion deficit. By the Legislature actually solving Gridlock on behalf of the GTA its’ stature would be immeasurably improved. Since Gridlock has been caused in the main by City Council’s meddling and social engineering. This by putting thousand of barriers in the way of traffic, it seems to me we can reduce Gridlock by at least 25%   just removing impediments on the cheap. How much will it cost to take traffic lights down, maybe 40 lag screws and then Mar off the exposed wiring. Take down hundreds of stop signs and remove speed bumps. We could have a garage sale online and sell signs to the public in North America to commemerate the day the traffic started to roll again in the Big T O.

That is where the MPPs can move into the spotlight in the present circumstances. I can just imagine their grandkid’s reaction to having someone in the family who made life better for coming generations rather than making things worse and more expensive. I have put in this report an outline of my plan to eliminate 25% of Toronto’s gridlock on the cheap. This report has been years in the making. I was riding the streets of this City 70 years ago on my 2nd hand bike with no fenders. For almost 30 years I ran an appliance service business here. We covered the whole City repairing washers and dryers. I would be happy to meet with any MPP or a group of MPPs, free of charge, without obligation and on a confidential basis [ MPs only ]  [ www.kenspratleyhie@yahoo.ca ]. I feel the time for photo ops as being after the job gets done to the satisfaction of people in the GTA. I am not prepared to make myself available to the $ private mainstream media. They spin and distort everything they lay hands on. The Globe and Oil particularly prints corporate friendly news. It only costs $ 250,000 a pop. Why?  Because it is company propaganda all tarted up to look like by the journoshills at the Globe. With billions at stake it is dirt cheap for Russ Girling of  TransNotCanada to pay Phil Crawley 250 thou to fool YOU. I have nothing but contempt for all those so involved. For years I have been writing letters to the papers particularly, on a variety of matters without there ever being any meaningful response. Those issues in which I am interested have been closed debates by and for the benefit of the elites. However the internet has shifted the balance in our OUR favour. It has tipped the info  pyramid upside down. Instead of information coming from on high it is now bubbling upward from the masses. We, the LITTLE PEOPLE [ as Lady Black refers to us ] can now bypass the $ media, find out the truth and live more meaningful / prosperous lives. and have a few bucks to spare. The $ media is paid to keep us confined in la La Land. While we are La Laing the rich get richer and the future of our children becomes dicier. I am now using the net as a means of outlining the war on Gridlock. This does not speak to reform. Rather it shouts revolution. I specifically went back 5 years looking at all of the pronouncements / plans / articles about Gridlock. There has NEVER been a concrete plan to eliminate stalled traffic, not one. It has been nothing but platitudes from the talking heads as they keep picking up their taxpayer paid cheques. What we hear from the elites without any plans is the need for more taxes and tolls. Bullshit. How long can people engage in just apple polishing? With never a solution. FOREVER it would seem. Gridlock and public transit are being left to fester. It is being used by the elites to extract more money from your wallet, it is a  sort of blackmail. Five years of chit chat is a long enough wait. Let’s end the free ride. Let’s tackle Gridlock for starters. The way is clear. For the first time in history there exists a plan to curtail Gridlock. It is contained herein, I have it. Our politicians, movers and takers and $ media are having a tough time embracing the internet. The Americans are way ahead in this regard. Many important  stories are now being broken on the net in the US and the papers are trying to catch up. Many truths including details are found on the net. The press here operates as if  we are still in 1970. News and information that is dead wrong or false gets published in the press every day here with no concern about their lies. Yet a click of the mouse can reveal the extent of the misleading copy in print. Is the Canadian $ media just in denial or are they just plain stupid? President Obama has won 2 elections, he used the net and social media. The Republicans just stood around with their bare faces hanging out. The Repubs / right apparently spent $ 1.5 billion on newspaper / TV ads and lost the last vote. 4 years ago, the same story.  But the right wing never admits mistakes and therefore never corrects such mistakes. The Obama win was acomplished outside the $ media. The recent Prorogation scandal was on fire, all on the net. The papers ignored it. Democracy was unimportant to the Canadian media moguls.  Now the Legislature is back and democracy has been restored let’s use its’ clout. Is the $ media paying any attention to the pressing matters that need to be addressed? Actually no. It is all coverage that one might see after a Habs / Leafs game. Our democracy is looked upon as a sort of sport and of little consequence. It is too late when the gates of the concentration camp clang behind you. In the past a report like I have prepared herein would have been thrown in the garbage by the papers in this Country. In Nazi Germany I would have felt the noose. Now the fixes above will go out to almost 50,000 viewers who now follow the Geeman.  Will Torontonians pay higher taxes and agree to tolls as the papers forecast. Or will the voter replace the representatives who only offer expensive solutions to reward their friends and in the end produce zero results?  I suggest that the Legislature strike a Standing Committee on Toronto Gridlock, which will only require the support of 55 MPPs [ any stripe ]. The day after that we can begin the work to reduce Gridlock in the City. On that very day Toronto can bank $ 328 million. That is JUST THE COST OF A STUDY OF CITY TRAFFIC that was to be done by consultants, delivery in 2 years. The my plan is now formulated, it’s waiting to be put into action. I think we can reach the 25% reduction for less than $ 1.5 million. If that  goal is met those in the Legislature  and the Council Chambers would be declared heroes of the realm.

I want to give the politicians who still live in the 1970s a fighting chance. They will be included in  my regular mailing via Canada Post of this report. I am going to include the $ media in my mailing although my proposals will probably be pitched in the garbage, as usual. The movers and takers can’t make any graft from my suggestions. I have concluded that my proposals are beyond the intelligence of the press whose only desire is corporate dollars. Once Torontonian come to realize that Gridlock is a curse placed on them by 30 years of car hating Councils we can begin to remove that curse. A letter follows this post which explains the summary.
